Galwan Propelled Rebalancing, Repositioning and Retasking of Formations
For too long the Indian army focused on its western borders expecting eruptions from the western neighbour more than our northern foe. However, Galwan cleared all ambiguities that may have been there. With Doklam as the backdrop and the deliberate orchestrating of violence at Galwan, there were no doubts left.
Gen MM Naravane retired Army Chief was at the helm. He was also the man at the helm when COVID-19 raged through. The General also shared his thoughts on Chinese options for Taiwan. War certainly is nowhere near the best course, the Chinese would like to attempt.
Theaterisation, according to him will take time. Others who have opted for such a jointness in their forces, have taken long and so will we.

He is too soft for an army man. When he was the commander of easten sector, he was asked by this same Mr Nitin , why there was a large chinese army with weapons assembled near indian border, General Navarane replied did not know. How come commander of a army do not know the motive of enemy? I was looking for the video by Nitin but till now cannot locate. I wonder he might had deleted it .😂
It is shameful that we wait for a clash to recalibrate and fill the loopholes.. no pre planning, no forecast

In geo politics, forecasting reveals many possibilities. But you can't prepare for all possibilities. Crisis and conflicts reveal one possibility, and for that, you can prepare. It's good that india made a shift after galwan clash and didn't wait until another one. Galwan clash is a small sacrifice for bigger gains that india will achieve through strategic change it is going through.

General Naravane plucked some very important strings in a very subtle way, on subjects of 2 front war, theaterisation and National spirit and national security strategy. More time needed to extract the subtle wisdom from this man. Anyways very good conversation.

Indians should change their strategy of patrolling border areas once a blue moon . Since the border is disputed , india should quickly improve connectivity to front lines for faster movement of troops and equipments. The border must be 24/7 monitored by satellites, drones,light air craft , ballons, and if possible Cctv at critical points to check movements of enemies. Indian army should work closely with local communities to check on enemy intrusion

No loss of territory should be the goal
Review one China policy. Recognize Taiwan, Tibet, Hong Kong, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang etc ad separate country redrawing maps. Once India begin, rest of world quickly Recognize and come out largely.

if theaterisation is expected over a decade, it's just incompetency. I respect our armed forces but we need to move faster. We need to be more competent than our adversaries in our strategy and organisation given the limited resources. Rawat showed more results

When later the Chinese objected to this the then Congress Defence Minister apologised to the Chinese and promised them that India would never use DBO Airstrip .........

Earlier we were petroling from fingure 1 to 8 (no of mountains peaks)now we have excess from 1 to 4 only and from 5 to 8 a buffer zone has been created.sadly the buffer zone between India China is Indian territory.china is using salami slicing technique so basically we do have lost some territory..
