I think you all miss the point, this is a clear example of a poor design as a whole. The problem with foldable screens is that the engineers have to design an enclosure that has to protect the screen and it has failed in that aspect due to the screen that is easily the most damaged part being the most fragile piece here after simply putting a pearl in and closing it rather gently and still doing this much to the phone. Now this is unintended for obvious reasons, but companies should be capable of actually providing a solution when these things do happen and these phones have barely lasted a year just from regular wear and tear and this type of error is honestly unacceptable.

he actually put a pin or something similar on the inner display closed it and then pressed down which would break any phone display in that scenario. I thought the black dot was a broken app button at first but at the end he brushes the pin off of the phone. If he was testing durability he should have used a more realistic scenario I'm not sure how many people keep fine pointy objects in their pockets. It is crazy that he did that but if he has a protection plan and gets enough views he probably made back the money and some but it depends on the insurance if they would charge him or not. they would 100% not do it if they knew it was intentional damage but unless his provider sees this video and knows its him they cant prove it was purposeful damage. These comments are wild. The amount of people trying to defend that this is an issue from Samsung is crazy. Clearly this device is being used for durability testing and are pushing the limits. The Fold 3 and 4 are both incredibly durable for what they are. As long as you aren't some snotty brat then you'll never realistically have to worry about damaging the device. And that is because you actually take care of the device and aren't treating it like a toy because you're spoiled and can just buy a new one. Absolutely hilarious comment section. 🤣🤣🤣

@@Sha_Mone except a plastic film is very different from the actual mix of materials used in a real Galaxy Fold 3/4 or even Pixel Fold 1. Not to mention, how are you "forgetting" something on the screen of your device that you are actively using? How absolutely unaware of your surroundings are you that you would just slam the device shut without picking it up and looking at it? How are you that daft that you left something large enough within the inner display that had to have been actively being used for it to be open that you didn't see it when you went to close it? Your argument is beyond illegoical. The only way you can actually believe this to be a scenario is if you truly have no sense of value or care for something you spent a not insignificant amount of money on. That or you are so ungodly ignorant that you would have no reason to own something of value.

  • @TDAdvocate

@Sha_Mone the device is so expensive that you shouldn't be being this careless with it. It isn't hard to pick up the phone vertically then give it a soft gentle wipe before closing it. Also, what are you doing that you are getting massive pieces of stone or dirt on your display in the first place? This isn't a device you should be taking to work environments or even at parks and whatnot. These supposed scenarios are proof to my point that if you are this ungrateful/ignorant, you shouldn't own a foldable. Plain and simple.

This phones have plastic display so that it can make curvable , but the durability of such a display is not that good like glass display. Thats why we can call it very delicate display and phone. This technology is just in its initial phase .
