I'm not a photographer and have no idea about cameras. In terms of detail I was really impressed with the s24, but the colors of the camera looked way better, especially the skin tones. I'm guessing that realistic look can be achieved with a much cheaper camera than the one you are using here because I'm guessing that it is just a lack of all the processing phones do. Nice comparison 👍

Thats a very good conclusion. I agree. I do have to say that some people who I showed this comparison personally, really loved the S24 also with skin tone..maybe its a matter of taste, i am not shure. The phones do brighten skin with their processing.. something I wish u could turn off and the option for less sharpness. Thnx for your comment!

Great comparison. Personally, the S24 is just too over-sharpened for my taste. We've gotten to a point where videographers are intentionally adding glimmerglass filters etc to dial things back (or just experimenting with old equipment) so outside of the stabilization, I'd say devices like this pass the processing ideal and create a look I think serious creators are intentionally trying to avoid at this point. So, is the S24 Ultra a more compelling option than say grabbing a mid-range phone and then buying a cheap, dedicated camera with the savings? If we're talking the needs of influencers or casual social media users, probably. If we're talking the needs of creatives, not so sure. Interesting to think about, though.

The thing with the phone of course is, its not just a camera. U can use it to edit video/ photo and put it on al your socials at once… No need for buying a computer. Maybe just a mistfilter and nd….and some lights U can get a long way with a phone like this.

i was just watching this on my phone, but still - i was sure that B was the Sony! my mind is blown. it even looks much better in my eyes. phones have come a long way. the fx3 had been used to shoot a huge budget feature film. would you shoot a feature film on the phone, like if you had a very low budget? could it be good enough to send to festivals and show in the theater?

Its amazing right. And yes of course. They shoot commercials with it.. its more a question of if someone “wants” to do that or not.

Yeah, you can see oversharpening after 5 seconds, Samsung is just still Samsung.
