Poco F5 pro is going to be my next phone for sure.

One word. Bloatware

When I had the S23U I set the animations to 1.5 versus 1.0 in the development settings. This made the animations smoother in my eyes, yet still fast. I think they overclocked it a little too much 😄

Nick!! Read this as i beleive you missed my comment before. Here's a thing about xiaomi phones and this applies to all of them. There is an application named as game turbo and you can find it in sequrity app or settings. And inside that application you will find an option named as "performance Optimization" keep that option turned on no need to change anything in the device and then you will get the same performance and benchmark as samsung. You don't need to add individual apps into game turbo or anything this setting applies to the entire phone and i don't know why Xiaomi keeps this setting off this just limits the performance of the phone. Change the setting and you will see better performance.

The rounded design of the poco f5 pro looks better to me

its the touch sampling rate making it feel snappier

Samsung animations need to be run at 1,5x in developers options to look as smooth as the others. In another words they're too fast stock.

I was really surprised that pitch black is darker on poco because samsung was always famous for it's contrasty screens and now a midrange poco has a better screen. even colors look better on poco and it's generally sharper.

You're not seeing the pitch black on S23 ultra because of its matte screen protection where the studio lighting is subtly reflected.

I noticed that Samsung just cut down on their animation duration ever since the one ui 4.1 on the Galaxy S20 series.. thats why rhey seemed so much faster even while compared to the ONE U.I 4.1 on the Galaxy Note 10+

Well Big brands can give the best user experience while brands like Poco can't, like literally alot of percentage users of Poco is literally have a motherboard issues, and that's just motherboard there's also software.

​@@yazouruaim694 just bcos a few Indian made Poco phones have motherboard issue, doesnt mean all Poco phones have the same issue. My Poco F3 is 2 years old and still working fine. Samsung phones using Exynos 9611 like the A51, M31 and M21 also faced motherboard issue, but i dont see you say all Samsung phones have same issue.

Well 7 gen 2 and 8+1 is just the same exact Chipset but 7 gen 2 is a downgrade version 🗿 so that comparison is doesn't make sense

miui animation have more motion goin on, the bouncy effect, that's why it feels fluid. Meanwhile One UI also doin smooth, but they are lack of animation and motion. I'm guessing it because samsung want to keep One UI as "stable" (they choose fast phase animation)

So im not alone for liking miui animations better :o I also like the notifications waym more in miui. And that the app drawer has the search bar on the bottom. AND that the brightness slider in miui is easier to work with Oh and MIUI face unlock always has been insanely fast sice maaany years

Poco's software is unreliable. My mother has the Poco X3 pro, and it suffers from a bootlooping problem. And then sometimes she can't do anything with it for half a day.

How did you get the poco f5 pro to have nearly instant unlock animation ? Usually there is an animation in MIUI where the icons just pop on the screen.

If you are testing Galaxy S23 Ultra with 12ram and 256 rom and poco 8ram and 256 rom there is a big difference however poco f5 pro has variants 12rom 256rom and 16rom 512rom just incase you are not aware

My s21 ultra with the 888 scores 1283/3362 on geekbench 6. Not far off of a phone that has a 8+ gen 1 chip

888 and 8gen 1 are kind of the same. The problem is they overheat when you start playing games so the performance goes down.

I ve got the Standard Poco f5 ( non) Pro version it's a sleeping beast if you pick the performance mode it becomes a different Phone you got around 1200 on a single core on Geekbench the cheapest Poco f5 gets 1697 single core and 4495 multi core I have no doubt this Poco f5 pro would surpass my 1697 scores considering my Poco Is the cheaper version

Any heating issues?

The Samsung S23 Ultra has a UFS 4.0 storage, As for the Poco F5 Pro, it has UFS 3.1 memory, so there will be a clear difference in speed, movement, opening applications, and some other things. I don't think it's a fair comparison. You did not expect this difference.

I just buy F5 Pro. Its one of the bests mobile now on Europe on that price. (Cheers from Poland) Iv got a lot od phones. From iPhone 11 to 13. Samsung from Note 10+ to Galaxy S22... Just try it.

Nope, and btw 144hz is useless it's literally almost no difference to 120hz except it drains battery faster

i dont like the curve design..much better the flat design...poco at samsung very nice specs but i will choice poco because the flat design..👍

Crazy that the poco could even keep ip with the iphone 14 ans open applications faster since samsung does it faster. Im surprised by the pocos color and contrast also. Its the onlt device uve seen this year to match the color of the samsung. Like the poco is the only other phone i wouls buy if it was in the US. I may actually like the color even more ok the poco haha. Which again is the first time for any other smartphone ive seen. Ive never liked color on any other phone as much as i do samsung Btw your samsung single core is one of the highest ive seen but im telling you right now the 12gb feels slightly more laggy and idk why. The 8gb samsung feels even smoother. I tell eveeypne more ram on a phone optimized for 8gb actually hurts it. The 8gb samsung also feels like its ram is slightly faster compared to the 12gb model they use. Which makes sense they give you extra storage and more ran cant expect it to be faster ram also for only 150 more lol.

ebay there xiaomi selling a lot of models. bad in xiaomi that not cover a all bands of 4g, 5g like result not qorking with all mobile carriers.

You should focus more on benchmarks and games than just opening and closing apps as this has became irrelevant - as you can see. The miui makes up for that split second of opening with WAAAY better animations and the user experience is better than with samsung - even if the apps open 0.1 second faster...

We saw only speed. But s23 ultra have many options than poco F5 ( like with s pen, Dex)

since I saw several poco X3 pro having problems with motherboard and overheating, and the company poco didn't care about it, I decided to buy a Galaxy S23 flat and I'm very happy with it. Samsung is a more solid company, and I know they will help me in case of problems.

Sorry, did you wanted to say Poco X3 Pro or other model? Because I am writing right now from one. And it was released almost 2.5 years ago. I don't see what is the connection between the S23U and this old phone. They were not released in the same year. Maybe the same decade 😅 Still, I haven't heard anything about the motherboard problems and I haven't had any issues with my X3 Pro (probably I was a little more lucky than others)
