Great post. I'll have to go with the Pixel 7 Pro. I do love the screen and the zoom capabilities of the S 23 Ultra, but all the features that the Pixel offers, I just don't want to live without. I mean the "Hold for me" feature, "Call Screen" etc. All that for $300 less? A no-brainer.

Yeah some of Google’s features are hard to beat, excited to see what the pixel 8 brings to the table later this year!
I had 2 pixel 6 pro sent them back for s22ultra and couldn't have been happier and now I use the s23ultra as my main and my secondary is the iphone 14pm. Best of both worlds. For me honestly samsung is more polished now than even Google and I prefer one ui. It's like no comparison. And pro mode on the s23ultra is the absolute best camera I've used.

Hi great vid!! Can you give the name of the wallpapers and website to get them they look sharp and dope Pixel 7 Pro !! Wallpapers Links !!! THNX 😅
Having owned and used both Devices I give the win to the pixel. Android on the pixel is more polished and fluid than on the S23, features like live transcription and Now Playing, and the best point and shoot camera on any phone, all starting at $899 before any discounts or specials.

One UI 5.1 is pretty polished and if we're talking about unique features it's not even a comparison as stock android is pretty barebones. Battery life is better on the Samsung, better screen and brightness etc. I've used both and the pixel is good but not as good as the Samsung.

I find that I am a big fan of now playing and even though I can live without it…I don’t want to
My Pixel 4 XL's battery just went out and, while I'm temporarily using my Pixel 2 XL in the meantime, I'm definitely torn between these two. I am completely open to leaving the Pixel realm but would anyone have input on the "difficulty" (for lack of a better word) of converting from half a decade of Pixel ownership to the Samsung? Would things like Google One still be relevant on the Samsung or do they have their own version of things like that I should be looking into as well? Appreciate the informative video and any feedback!

Well, I believe you need to pay for google one, when you get something that's non pixel. Plus you don't get those advanced pixel features in Samsung but Samsung does take some features from pixel and "Samsung's " them. Like screen call.

The Samsung S23 is a better phone. Just talking hardware. The experience doesn't justify the price difference to me because despite the hardware being so much better in the Samsung, the experience is very very close. I've been a Samsung only user from the debut of the Samsung Mesmerize to the Note 10. I love Samsung and I love One UI. The Pixel 7 pro is my first non Samsung phone and I'm very impressed with what I got for a fraction of the price. I got my Pixel through a promotional sale from Spectrum cable. They are trying to get people to try their mobile phone service and bundling it with their cable and hi speed internet. Best deal I've ever gotten for a mobile plan or a cell phone. So far so good on the service too. I realize you're asking about switching the other direction but I'm just saying, as a Samsung fanboy to Pixel I found the switch to be pretty smooth. I found alternatives to everything I did on my Samsung and would say that they both can do whatever you need, they just do them their own way. I'm happy with the Pixel and am pumped even more about what the Pixel is going to offer before I actually move to a new phone a few years. Google owns most of the best AI and all that power is coming to their Pixels very soon.
I still have the Galaxy s20 Ultra and it is still amazing over 2 years later!

There is very little reason to upgrade every 2 or even 3 years now. Phones are peaking and the differences between the phones from 4 years ago and now are not that big. Especially if you're talking flagship phones. When I get a phone now I plan on having the phone for at least 2-3 years if it's new. Some people are even keeping them until they no longer get the guaranteed updates. Even the big tech KZreadrs are holding onto daily drivers they love for multiple generations. I switched from the Note 10 to the Pixel 7 pro only because of the insane deal I was offered for the Pixel and the fact that my Note finally started to have issues. Otherwise I might have waited a couple more years.

I have both phones and I have been using the Pixel since the pixel 2 XL. Samsung has always been my main phone and the pixel lineup is my secondary. The reason why the Pixel has never been my main phone is because it has always frustrates me. The battery is worse, it always glitches, the screen is not solid, there are always bugs, the cell modem isn't as solid, and Samsung software seems to work the best for me. Oh I forgot the charging speed. The pixel charging speed is an absolute joke

I agree and can vouch for with this 100%. I moved to the Pixel 7 Pro from my Note 20 Ultra, but after all of the above issues and the proximity sensor dying, which ruined the always on display, front focus, face recognition and call functionality (it's also a well known, long standing Pixel issue) I warrantied it and was able to swap to the s23 ultra and all I wish was that Samsung could adopt a lot more of Google's native UI.

Well, there's something that Pixel has that Samsung don't. And that's the experience. I've never been a fan of phone with so much features, I want a simple with minimal customization as what Pixel did starting from Android 12. That custom themeing is so unique. I think Pixels are for those who are simple users, minimalist, no crazy stuff. Just turning on, setup.. you're good to go. Is pixel 6pro better to 7 ? And better than s22
You just can't go wrong with either choice you decide.
I had to choose a new phone a few days ago and I was between the S23 Ultra and the Pixel 7 Pro. Eventually I chose the Pixel, jsut cause it is a much better Phone for the bucks while still being a top tier Smartphone. Since I take a lot of pictures with my phone there was another good point for google. Also I wanted to try out the Google built in AI. To sum it up, its not worth spending 400-500€ more and not get extras that are worth the money (in my opinion of course)
Actually, I'm still using pixel 3 since 2018... actually, it's my main phone! But, battery is not good at all.. but it's okay to me! Camera is perform like a dlsr.. I like the pure android... its good... Samsung is always a good phone I like their editing functions camera functions and display and ui build quality
S23 ultra has the same magic eraser function. However, it's a couple extra clicks to use.
Samsung galaxy s23 ultra anyday :)
Since Spectrum is trying to break into the mobile phone market I got a deal on the Pixel 7 pro for 399. plus tax!!! I couldn't pass that up. I have an Apple XR, and gave my son my Samsung S22. I have got to admit I do like the Google phone more than I did my Samsung S22. Seems like a better phone at least in my humble opinion.
@SaintKines

I did the same deal with Spectrum and it's been great. I've always been a Samsung fanboy and left the Note 10. Which was a good phone too.
I just upgraded to the s23 ultra from the galaxy Note 9 and It is so much heavier than my old phone. I stayed with Samsung only because I love the S pen. If samsung ever got rid of the Spen like some reviewers have recommended. I would definitely move on to a different brand. The Pixel seems like a reasonable choice because of price and camera.
@SaintKines
Жыл бұрын
My wife stays with Samsung because of the pen too. I know it's not super popular but I wonder how much business people are losing by not having the pen.
As far as daily-use, I prefer the Pixel. I've had several (and still keep them in a drawer) BUT, when it comes to durability, the Samsung is much better. My S22 still looks like new. I hope the next gen Pixel will be offered in better materials/quality......go ahead and charge more, I'm OK with that.

Yeah I agree with you, Google still has work to do with build and design. But its moving in the right direction!
I prefer the Google design over Samsung. The display is not flat and is not curved. The galaxy on the other hand is just basically flat with 90° corners, not good.
You can't go wrong with either. But realistically, if you decide you don't need the S. Pen, you honestly have little reason to skip the pixel 7 pro unless you couldn't care less about price.

PIixel 7 or P7P. Getting another S23 series, seems like a repeat.
Mark my words , if Google thought they could charge more than 899 they would.
Neither, the RedMagic 8 Pro with s snapdragon 8 gen 2 and 16 gigs of ram with a cooling fan and vents to keep therottling to a minimum. Switch games run super well and it combats heat nicely.
Bought the 7pro. Love not getting spam calls and have google wait on hold for me. Those features I had on a OnePlus running the pixel experience ROM but wanted a newer phone and didn't want to give up those features. Can't easily run roms on the new OnePlus since no real recovery (MSM downloader tool) else I would have.
Which is your favorite MLB team? Cubs or Sox?
i dont know if it's just me but the samsung photos are pleasing to my eyes than the pixel. the color is good in the pixel but the detail is definitely better in the samsung. I'll always choose detail over color as color can be edited easier, details are not.

If your into customization and like to customize your phone then the samsung is hands down the winner there are so many options to customize your phone than the pixel but if your not then the pixel is the phone to go with. Samsung in my opinion has a better processor and speed and is the better phone overall.

More like 85%. Galaxy has it beat in battery performance, and the video on Pixel is most of the time unusable. And if you wait for the right discount, you can get them both for almost free with a carrier and a trade in, or right now you can get the Ultra for $200 less at Best Buy. If you’re looking for the better phone with price not being a limitation, there’s no better phone to get right now on the Android side.
Team pixel 100%
No doubt!! S23u
Pixel 7 pro is no match for S23 ultra. Yeah, people only talk about camera these days, but functionality wise, Dex mode, and S pen alone is winner.
S23 ultra only!
Ive never seen people using spen in public....ever.....people go for ultra because its flagship. They use fraction of what it can do and pay $$$.
As a Pixel fanboy since the Nexus, I do but Samsung flagship every year. Tried the s23 ultra at launch for a few weeks and the deal breaker was the still present absolutely ridiculous shutter lag. Virtually everyone of my photos of my kids were blurry with even minimal movement. Ruined several of my son's soccer game photos in comparison to the pixel 6l7 pro photos I took. Another pass unfortunately. Another thing . Stop with the damn curved screen, no one is asking for that
I'm #teampixel ova here
You forgot to mention that the base model of the s23 is freaking 8gb ram which is a joke for that price.

Uhh the 7 pro is far from big the screen isn't large enough.
I get tried of the term " for the money" if I want financial advice then i would talk with a licensed financial advisor. So please stop using this terms in every video when you compare phones. When I ask what is "the best phone" then answer that question. Nothing less nothing more.
Obviously it's the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra, but u can't go wrong with the Pixel either.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the better phone hands down. It can do everything the pixel can do and more.
S23 ultra is the best phone ever
Sorry but the pixel 7 pro feels cheap and the video and pics do not match what the specs say compared to real life results. I've had phones from the Galaxy line like the S10 and even that phone was better quality wise. After having the Pixel Pro 7 for 4 months, i'm going back to Samsung and getting the S23 Ultra. If your carrier allows it, you guys should try the phones yourself for a week and see which one u prefer.
Just looking at the photos you included, how can you say those dim photos on the Pixel are better than the ones on the S23 Ultra? Did you mix up the labels? No way one could say the Pixel takes better photos going off the photos you've included in this video. Not even close to the S23 Ultra.
Value-wise, there is no competition; the Pixel destroys the S23U. Pre-order deals and the Pixel 7Pro was £850 and a free £400 Pixel Watch, so £450 net. The S23U had no freebies but a free upgrade to the 12GB version, which cost £1250 net. The S23U was, therefore, £800 more, and I can get an MB Air M1 for that change! I am not an s-pen user, and the Pixel's zoom is not far behind Samsung's; in fact, better from 6-9X, so other than performance, s-pen and extra storage if you need it, the Pixel is a bit of a bargain versus S23U. I would exchange the negatives of the Pixel for £800 ($920) cold hard cash!
Tensor is in-house???!! Its an Exynos for god's sake!
Pixel 6/7 were designed by Samsung 😬
Pick S23 ultra anyday not even giving it a single thought. It's just superior
When you look at it, the Pixel 7 Pro is truly not a great deal. It has sub-par hardware compared to all of competition. It has a nice software experience & neat smart features, but the SoC is embarrassingly bad compared to the Snapdragon. It overheats very easily, it isn't very good for gaming, battery life is still not great (again, all due to the rebranded Exynos SoC). Not saying it isn't a good phone, but when you look at it from a tech enthusiast's POV, it really isn't the value people say it is. The Pixel 7 is a great buy & so is the 6a/7a.
