Galaxy S22 Ultra vs iPhone 13 Pro - REAL Day In Life | Camera & Battery Test

Ғылым және технология

I wanted to test out the camera & battery life of the Galaxy S22 Ultra vs iPhone 13 Pro during a real day in my life. So I brought the 2 phones with me to Vancouver, and here are the results!
Galaxy S22 Ultra review: • Galaxy S22 ULTRA Revie...
iPhone 13 Pro review: • iPhone 13 Pro Review |...
❀ phone specs ❀
I tried to use the iPhone 13 Pro and S22 Ultra as equally as possible (doing the same tasks on both) throughout the entire day.
Both phones had wifi turned off and were running on data (LTE). Both phones also had data roaming turned off and low data/data saver turned off.
The S22 Ultra I used has 12 GB RAM, screen resolution set to 2K, and default processing speed.

Very few people (including KZreadrs) don't take that into consideration when comparing phones. Also a small battery life tip: turn off 5G from Settings > Connections > Mobile networks when not using 5G. It will disable the 5G antenna and will save your battery from draing like crazy

Makes sense tbh, when I was recording Oblivion Access with the S22 Ultra, the videos came out pretty well just at 1080p @30fps. I thought it was just my settings that made the battery last longer, but you're correct; it's like battery usage slows down when it knows something more taxing like the camera is in use, likely the adaptive battery tbh. Usually I carry backup batteries just in case (the S9+ made me paranoid on that subject lol)

My color is a black background. 99.99% of people are not going to be able to tell the difference of resolution on a screen a little smaller than my hand. It's not like looking at a large HD TV where one can tell the difference btwn 1080p & 4k because one can seem the pixel sizes looking close enough. One can't on a screen this size. As far as using 60hz motion, can I tell when scrolling that 120hz is much smoother? Yes, but who is going to spend time scrolling to just enjoy that? When one is reading/watching videos on their phone, they are not scrolling. Scrolling the phone screen during whatever is a very small % of phone usage. It's all marketing aesthetics. I got the phone because I got a great deal, the screen is big, and the camera system is awesome.

Duuuuuuude this made me miss Vancouver so hard 😭. It's already so lush and green... Calgary is only just beginning to transform out of its ugly spring brown-ness. This was a great comparison, and I'm honestly impressed with both phones here. Personally, I like the flatter look of the iPhone's photos, but that's a me thing. I'd be curious to know if using photographic styles on the iPhone could more closely match the out-of-the-box look you prefer on the Samsung. Samsung's processing has gotten way better over the last few years, regardless. If you want a datapoint for the 13 Pro Max battery life, I had a pretty similar day on a trip to San Francisco back in January. A full day of walking around, running navigation pretty much the entire time I was walking (8+ hours), taking hundreds of photos and videos, streaming music and podcasts the entire time, watching KZread over meals for a few hours, and even watching an hour+ of Netflix in the hotel at night still left me with about 5% before I went to sleep.

Watching this with my Samsung S22 Ultra 5G 512gb/12gb variant. I'm a bit disappointed with the battery but I'm blown away with it's camera zoom and other features. This is what you call innovation. Good thing I chose this over Iphone 13 pro max. I had my first IPhone before which was the 11 pro max but I feel like there was no freedom in Iphone's ecosystem. It got boring and dull. But what's good in Iphone over the others is the chipset.

That's pretty interesting. I'm an Android user for more than 10 years - mostly Samsung. Last year I switched to an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I didn't have any issues switching to IOS. I like the phone - the cam is amazing and the battery life outstanding. I still use a Samsung as second device. So you prefer the more saturated S22 pictures and that's what I love with the iPhone. They look more natural. I'm cannot stand Samsung's colorful holiday card pictures anymore. It's better with the S22 series but still exists. But that's personal taste for sure. Video quality goes to Apple.
