I found this guide really helpful. I have worked on Laptops for years and this was my first screen replacement on an android phone and this guide is very straight forward and not annoying to listen to. I found it very calm and informative only really needing the key points. I noticed some people below were having problems, this could only result from a lack of care. Thank you for posting this!

I ordered a digitizer screen from amazon for £10.99 it should come by next week or the week after. im definitely going to watch this video as I am replacing the screen thank you so much on doing this video. My phone dropped on the floor now the screen is cracked.

hi is there anyway to test the screen without removing the protection?, i bought the replacement for the digitizer and the lcd screen, but the warranty its only covered if i dont remove the adhesive

Heys LESSONS , My Galaxy s duos just stopped working ,like, the screen is totally off, but when i turn the phone on ,i can sense the quick vibration and light of the buttons ,exactly after samsung screen startup (but without seeing enything) after that comes the lock screen and i hear the notification of low battery ,so i guess it isn't the mainbord or system thing , but i would like to know if is it exactly the screen, or could it be another pieces relative to the screen ?

What's wrong if the keys are slightly (well abt 3-4mm!) offset after fitting a new digitiser? It's really hard to hit the correct key on the virtual keyboard then. The digitiser was alighed correctly (along the edges and matching the speaker/home butten). There isn't much room for shifting it.

Good job! Maybe you could do a video for more advanced phones like Sony xperia z1 because it's very hard to find a video for screen replacement and other stuff, also screen replacement may can help with hundreds of people who have touchscreen problems.

I would try using 'Evo-stik serious glue', its very strong and will let you lift the screen again in the future
