So am I! And I completely agree. I doubt there's anyone who has downgraded from a Note to any other phone. The only "problem" is my Note 4 still works amazingly well (not even a scratch), so my justification for getting a Note 8 is that I can pass on my Note 4 to a non-Note person and convert them =P

Minty hahaha so true! My Note4 is still perfect looks like it's only 3 months old. It has very little scratches and no broken screen even when I've dropped it a couple of times past 3years! Also I've never factory reset my Note4 only doing it now coz I'm passing it down too. Getting the Note8 coz I want better camera and improved S pen and that infinity display just looks gorgeous. I feel like this Note8 is true upgrade from my Note4. Didn't feel compelled enough to get Note5 or Note7!

farrius dean it is. It offers something that no other phone offers in the s pen features. Best display on the market iris scanning fast wireless charging. Supports hdr and on KZread too. Only a few devices do that. Great design with the curved screen, 6gb of ram. The display size is perfect for split screen multi tasking. Vast amount of cases and accessories. Battery life is said to be very good too from the people iv spoke to. Samsung dex free with it in the UK too

You missed two very big smart select feature. The first is that when you smart select something, you can use the button with the little T on it to extract a text. It pulls the text out of the picture and makes it copyable to your clipboard. The other feature is the animated gif creator. You can draw the square anywhere on your screen and it will create a gif of whatever it's seeing

@@satori2869 I know you probably figured this out by now, but the Note 8 has the smart select feature, that you can add as a shortcut. What I did is, use the little stylus icon that appears on the edge of the phone or the corner and then add the smart select as shortcut. After that, I use that to select whatever text I want and extract it, before copying. So if I want to copy a part of a photo, I open the camera app, touch the little stylus symbol and when all my shortcuts appear, I select smart select, extract and copy.

I think sakitech is the ONLY person who fully reviews tech.

Great video. I'm researching the Note 8 for possible purchase. The Pen looks very useful. I think others have been to quick to write off the Note 8 as an S8++ because they overlooked the utility of the pen.

Recently my note 4 busted...had to use ifone 6 plus instead n though I am grateful I still have a one to use..nothing comes close to notes capabilities....only thing wish Samsung can do better is battery performance n that their hardware lasts bit longer. clicking the hovering icon n then selecting takes too much time...looks frustrating You should be able to write a letter on anywhere on the screen (when you aren't on a writing or drawing mode) like "1" for the first function you set in the circular list and "2" n so on Would make things 4 times faster

I have a note 4. I've noticed no one talks about loading a different template on the memo as well on the list side. Samsung had placed different templates but in their drop down menu it had different stationary patterns to download. And you could use it as a pfpdf file to send as msg as well. Does the note 8 have these features of being able to change your backgrounds to incorporate other stationary forms.?It would indicate page options on the corner menu.

You should, I was one of those people who waited in line for the new Iphone. Then I got the galaxy note 10.1 tablet for my birthday and I fell in love with the pen. I switched to the note series phones and now every time I try to use an Iphone I find it so frustrating and clunky that I can barely do anything with it. The Note is the best android device out there. I use the pen CONSTANTLY and can't function without it anymore.

Same I been able to upgrade for 2 month and can't decide. The only reason. Is my Apple watch. I'll feel it was a waste if I switch and it still working. But I'm so tempted at just using it as a watch and get the note.

got my note 8 last week and i am loving it.. using iphone 6+ for the last 2 and a half year. was about to get the new iphone but... iphone 8 was a joke with it own design and iphone 10 is too ugly with the notch on the top. btw i love drawing so the s pen is good for me.

Back on the note 5, if you wrote a note, you could go and use the s-pen to use that note in Maps etc, so like if you took down a phone number or address you could send it to Google maps. How do you do that on the note 8?

I really enjoy your videos and they are one of the best on KZread. Quick question for you. How do you like the Note 8 compared to the iPhone X or even the iPhone 8 Plus from a productivity point? I use to have the Note 5 and after a year it start slowing down and present problems, so I chose to go back to Apple. Would love to hear your thoughts. ( I am asking from a business point of you and using it for the business). I am using the iPad Pro 12.9 fully for the business.

Hi Saki, I just found your channel earlier this morning and I have to tell you that I have really enjoyed this video. I just got my Note8 this week and I love it! I have to admit that I really did not know all that could be done with my S-Pen. I had the Note5 and I loved it so much that as soon as the 8 showed up to be pre-ordered I just had to get it. That being said I truly didn't not know all this information and I have to thank you as I do now. LOL... I of course have subscribed to your channel and as time allows I am going to check out all your videos and learn all the more that I can about my new phone. Thanks so much. They thought of fucking everything with this phone. Even if you won't use half of these features it's still leagues better than pretty much any other phone. I know I'll be using the Note taking feature quite often being a game designer. I have sparratic ideas that come and go in a short amount of time. so I don't want to have to go and enter my 10 digit passcode, open a note taking app, and type it down. instead, scan my finger, open the note, and write it down in a considerably shorter time. I particularly thought of my half blind grandma when you talked about the magnifier. that would be perfect for her. Not to mention the pen so she can make precise tapping, and she wouldn't have to worry about autocorrect, or missing keys because she could just write the words out. I'll definitely be getting one of these when I can save enough money. though honestly the note 9 will probably be out by that time.

good luck bro. and i am very proud of you that you thinking getting this for your grandma. for note 8. u just pull the s pen out and u can take note straight away .. no need to scan your finger and open the note. . just pull s pen and start writing.. very fast and cool. i am using this feature a lot and playing hangman guessing word game with the kids

I'll never learn, nor utilize, all of the tricks which the Note8 can perform. I'd even go as far as to say that I'm a lower-end "power user" where a typical day will find me unsheathing the S-Pen a couple dozen times. The Note8 is my media powerhouse which can, occasionally, take phone calls. My granddaughter watched a KZread video on the Note8 this past Wednesday and I watched her eyes go wide when she saw that display. So far, so good Note8.

well, in 2019 it only costs around 400 dollars....I don't think that I have anything more to say😂
