I really hate this trend of huge cameras. There is nothing worng with putting up some extra thickness in order to decrease the bump and gain on battery size. I was really dissapointed to hear the ultra model having a 4500mah battery.

@@maindirectorate1400 he did misinform about 45w charging but 25w ain't slow u will only notice the difference between 0-50% charge where the 45w is faster as after that it will be around the same speed.

You won't have the problem with the accidental touches from the edge screen *or the camera bump* if you put it in a case! 😉

@@groomerjames9445 I upgraded from an S8 plus so it was a considerable upgrade in performance. I don't use the pen as much but awesome for signing docs and taking specific screenshots. And the photos it takes has been complimented by iPhone die hard users.

Totally worth it. It's the last flagship Samsung phone to have a MicroSD slot. It's "the best" all around Samusung phone that still has it, even in 2024. Sadly, Samsung stopped including MicroSD slots on all but their cheap phones. But the Note 20 (non-Ultra) doesn't have a MicroSD slot either. Only the Note 20 Ultra has one but brand new they're $400 USD.

@user-AbdulRehman999 So far, everything is good. I am the third owner. I did not update any new software since day one. I just have a frequent charge since the battery was since 2021. I never charge through power bank since day one too. In conclusion, I love my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra so much.

FYI, Best Buy offers the best pricing and you can get other colors online compared to going into a brick and mortar store. Also, I am glad to see that Samsung finally brought back the micro sd expansion all on the same SIM tray.

I too still use my note 9 but for about 6 months now if someone calls i can't see the screen to answer it. If I turn the brightness all the way up I can see it but the screen is green. Once I answer though and put it to my face...screen blacks out again. So now I'm buying the ultra 20 because of the memory card slot!

Just bought a refurbished one for $738. Really looking forward to using it. My current 13 Pro Max has too many issues and even though it’s a few years old now, it’s specs are still very good

Big Brain Tip: You can set up a Bixby Routine to automatically switch screen resolution to 1440p only when KZread/Netflix (or whatever you want) are open and then when you exit, it goes back to 1080p 120hz

@@_fiftyseven_ Yeah, only downside is that the screen has to kinda refresh when you enter and exit (like it does when you switch it in the settings), so if you're constantly going in between the apps it's not really ideal, but for something like Netflix that you're gonna be in for awhile I think it's worth and it's automatic, don't have to think about it.

@@ArquellEastland so have your screen already at 120hz and then when you set up the routine, make sure you change it from adaptive to standard and change the resolution. If you just change the resolution, then it doesn't revert back to 120hz. So for example, your whole routine should be "If KZread/Netflix, then Standard and WQHD+"

Those shots of holding tech over the stairs really ramps up my anxiety.

Bought this phone the day of release and I have never been more happy with a phone since my T-mobile G1. Definitely the closest to phone perfection thus far and I've owned MANY Android flagships.

I went from a Note 5 to this Note 20 Ultra and I don't even know what to say honestly. The experience is life changing. The speed, the screen, the battery life, the BT hooks up perfect and instantly, applications are speedy, my work apps for logging into servers and Active Director use, all work FAST and great!

@@joeyc666 Life changing, just do it man. It's expensive, but worth it. The battery life alone is worth it. I still get almost 2 days with the phone if I'm not using it super heavy. The connectivity with everything is still great and it's fast and snappy.

Been using my N20U for 3 weeks+ now. My previous phone was iphond 6s so this is a HUGE upgrade for me. I'm in love with this phone. Everyday i look at it and feel grateful because i'm able to get this phone. Still can't believe i bought it lol. For the front camera, i prefer any iphone's models but the N20U's rear camera is a beast. And not gonna lie, i use a lot of this phone's features. The S-pen is amazingg. It helps me write my notes for my studies. 9/10 overall. Could've get 10/10 but i got the exynos version so yeah

I had got the factory unlocked ultra 512gig version. And it's a monster. And I don't see any camera lag unless your using the wrong camera for the shot. And there is no noise from any camera. There are a mechanical zoom and a software zoom. The mechanical zoom is the best quality hands down. And because this phone i got unlocked wash from Samsung it has zero bloat ware. There was a pro mode for pictures and pro m9de for video. Once you tweak out those settings the pictures are even more impressive. I don't use the 120 hz refresh. But I do use the performance mode and that make the phone like 5 times faster. It's scary fast. I'm a power user and have lots of programs and 1800 txt and 2400 call logs, and about 300 gigs of pictures and videos. When I restored the data to this phone it took only 5 minutes over air. Holly shiz.. If it was my note 10 plus it would have taken like 35 minutes. As for the professional programs installed that Samsung doesn't tell you about im very impressed. And I'm not a person who is impressed easy. The 512 gig is the only model you want for many reasons. One example is that 8k video and 4k 60 fps can only be stored in the phone because of bandwidth issues on SD cards. So you want 512 Gigabyte. Not 128 Gigabyte. 128 is for the person who just want the phone for basic use. The 512 Gigabyte is for the real Professional power user. This device does video and photo editing like a monster. Even faster then my $2800 laptop. Combine that with dex wireless and its a No brainer.....

Which carrier do you have? Do you have your carrier features like VoLTE and WiFi Calling? I have Verizon and thought about returning the 12 Pro Max and making the transition to the note, but can only get the 512GB in the unlocked, which even now is going to be hard to get.

Two years down the line many note 20 Ultra screens with Samsung's Exynos chip have developed one or more perpendicular lines across the screen after software update. Samsung charges S$400 to fix the same!! The fix comes with a paltry 1 month warranty.

@@Rooneymessi19946 400 dollars?! How did you do that? It's pretty difficult to build a pc with $400 in the US. Considering the tax and import fees Indians have to pay on the parts it's pretty amazing that you were able to build a pc in just $400.

I've been using the newest Note ever since they first released them and I've never been disappointed. I'm pretty sad that they're discontinuing the Note like of phones. I get that they're basically just going to make the S22 Ultra a Note and they're trying to focus on the S line and the Z Fold line, but still I'm a bit sad that this is my last Note.

Love your reviews! It's tough to pick a cell phone these days...they're all so good but no matter the brand, they don't all have an all in one package of what I want...the battery lives are the most disappointing! Can't escape that issue.

You've come a long way Marques, it seems like only yesterday you were just a young MKBSD. Great job my man

Thank you for a great easy to understand review without dragging and over explaining! I usually get board and have no patience for long reviews of product specially when they try to add nonsense humor! This was the first time for me watching ur video and I have to say that I'm very impressed! U sir did an amazing job. Thank u for a great review on Samsung Galaxy ultra! Ur review is the reason for my purchase ❤️

these reviews are really helpful. A couple years down the line second hand these are getting to a pricey but reasonable cost for what I want. My Galaxy Note Edge 1 that's nearly ten years old has finally really started to die so this is what I'm looking to upgrade to so with a battery swapout down the line it should also last years. The S pen is the really important bit for me though. I need to annotate photos on the go for work and I like to sketch from time to time.

@@jbjoker18 I did buy one and it's been very good in the month or so I've had it. Although my experience has to be tempered by the fact that my last phone was released almost a decade ago and I have no idea of expectations for today's phones so a flagship only two years old is lightyears ahead of anything I've used before. the camera especially is very good and on a holiday at the moment I've actually not bothered using my (Admittedly six year old) compact camera because even with moderate zoom the phone outperforms it. As to other features it's what I'd expect. My only gripe is charging it is awkward without a samsung specific charger. I used to use generic 1 and 2 amp chargers but this phone really doesn't like them, especially not run through an adaptor (Although the voltage is the same so it shouldn't make a difference). Currently looking at 6-7 hours to charge from 15%.

@@Parabueto As a Day 1 user of the Note 20 Ultra, I'm still using Mine to this day, I don't see a reason to upgrade to a S23 Ultra since its really similar. Still feels the same almost 3 years later, battery life is mediocre at best for my usage. Display is still amazing, never had any performance based issues (I have the 12GB ram, Snapdragon 865 + version).

I think it's just a simple matter of companies testing the waters to see what people will pay for and they keep getting away with charging more and more since most people don't pay up front. They just finance the phone with their cell plan and they only see a $1-2 monthly difference in their 36 month plan so they just don't care.

Exactly...Mid range phones cost around 20-30k Inr nowadays and flagships are way above 60k ( 70k inr is the base variant) And data plans are not cheap. 2.4k inr for 1.5 gb/ day and unlimited calling and messaging is not cheap.

Quality matters bro the phones 3yrs from now whre not with 16gb of ram or 512gb of ufs3.1 Storage neither there is 50x or whatevrr x zoom + u n Need to understand that if a big company like samsung or apple launch a flagship phone it needs to maintain its premium name so they add xtra non necessary features just to raise the price.

This thing is still pricey after months. I'll wait. Im stuck with the note line & I cant see myself picking up anything else. I do everything with it. I'm still using the note 8 & it still runs like a champ. I actually like the plastic back. The glass one breaks too easily even with a case. Thanks M for the review!

Virus id argue it doesn’t matter for the regular models s20s etc. But for the ultras your paying for the ultra aspect. It really did piss me off when I realised how inefficient the exynos was compared to the snapdragon. In fact it was the exact reason I sold my s20 ultra. Won’t touch Samsung now until they resolve this.

Just got one, 256 GB 5G after trying a Note 10+ 5G and prior to that a Note 9 for a few years. This thing rocks. Beautiful looking and much faster than the 10+. Only gripe is that the screen fingerprint reader is still nothing like as ergonomically positioned, fast or reliable as the rear one on the Note 9 or Face ID on my iPhone 12 Mini.

Consumers: We want a compact phone with a flat display. Samsung: Lets curve the screen and make it so big that even MKBHD can't hold.

Hello! It is now May 2023 and I'm still using my resilient and versatile Samsung Galaxy Note S20 Ultra 5G. It's been a couple of years and while it works well for the most part, i.e. I can play memory intensive games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail with ease, it's camera is now bonky. It takes a while for it to focus. When I want to use it, I'll have to lightly slap its sides for it to focus. The S pen translation function also isnt as consistent anymore. Nevertheless, the rest of it is working perfectly fine from what I can tell. And it can capture 5G in 5G zones. 😊

n8george yeah yeah, like he said, Android stuffs the phone with useless features that don’t always work great while apple keeps it simple and the features always work great. For example, Samsung had Face ID first but it was so bad that nobody ever talked about it or used it but then when Apple came out with their Face ID, it was so much better that everyone started talking about it and using it.

My heart: $1300 for a phone? I want it. My brain: Hey, RTX 3000 series coming out soon!

The S pen is useful such as signing documents online, its great, also, its good for making appointments and write down on your phone when you're still on a call, multitasking at its finest

@Albin yeah but apple releases one line of phones a year. Samsung make 3 different lines for mid range high end and low range phones. I mean yeah they still dont offer the longest software update but they have at least 2-3 s series plus 2 from note. Few from a and m series.

@Albin Iphones also suffer from too much software after 3-4 years forcing you to buy a new one. Cause those updates was too much for the older phone and worn battery. So not really a benefit.

Yeah, they are only allowed to upload the videos at a time that the manufacturer allows.

I love this phone but yeah with the curved edges I've seen that sometimes in landscape I'll accidently touch the edge to where my video starts rewinding if I'm not careful.
