Just replaced my screen in my Galaxy Nexus and with much help from this guide it went pretty easily. Only difference from the guide was the screen and the lcd came apart separately (because the lcd was cracked underneath) - the lcd requiring heat/persuasion to come off. MANY thanks

Thanks so much for this! Just replaced the USB component with zero experience in electronics. Accidentally ripped off the volume switch, but that was kinda broken before anyway. My phone wasn't charging, but with the new part is fine. Saved me buying a new phone, so you have my gratitude.

excellent video extremely helpful, thank you for taking the time to do this. To note there is that seventh screw on the piece that sits on top of the USB board. Also, I didn't loosen my volume controller proper and it actually ripped off the 3 solder point. People just ensure its completely dislodged and careful with that.

Hi. I managed to change the LCD and glass with a replacement I bought. But the screen does turn on, although the phone vibrates to let me know it's on. And now it just cycles between on and off, with the screen not working. A few things I think might be wrong: 1. Power button is deffective now 2. The proximity sensor is broken and keep the phone screen off. Is this possible? Or just for calls? 3. the screen I got is defective. Any help?

The only way to retrieve the data is repair the phone or use a data recovery service which would cost several hundred dollars. First I would try fitting a new usb board (5:53) but as you say its getting hot it might need a new power ic. Google around until you find someone who can fit it www.parts4repair.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-i9250-power-ic-twl6040a2/

Can anyone advise what the possible issue is for an unresponsive Galaxy Nexus. My phone was on charge, working fine in the morning when I checked my email, then later that day with no other use in between I went to check my email again and found the phone was dead. It won't re-boot and it does nothing when putting back on charge (no charge graphic) and is not recognised by my computer when connected via USB. Have swapped batteries with my wife's (same phone) but no luck.

Hello. I have to replace the screen on my HTC Sensation. There are several 'how to' videos on KZread covering this, but frankly the quality of your videos is so far superior to anything 'out there' I am loath to attempt the job without seeing you demonstrate it. It may be that it just isn't going to happen - the Sensation is pretty old hat by now - but I thought I'd ask to see if you might one day show this? Thanks anyway!

+VectorAero verify the voltage that you carger delivers. If not voltage at all, the charger is broken. You can also measure the voltage in the battery to see if changes after charging for a while.

Hey there. Will the memory be lost if i ONLY change the screen glass? Like how you want to remove using the heat gun? By the way, how much will it cost by then? Please reply ASAP. Im in deep shit.

It won't lose the memory content, but its best to backup your data just in case there's any problems. The cost depends on where you live, Google for 'nexus 9250 digitizer' and click the shopping link..
