In photos, the A54 colours more saturated than the A55. The A55 has EIS in more modes in video. That why the A55 is slightly more cropped in! Stabilisation is now available at 4K 60fps. A54 exposure is slightly higher, probably at the expense of dynamic range. Basically the newer SoC has improved the video performance on the A55. I don't think it's worth upgrading from the A54 to A55. From a much older phone, maybe yes.

Well, it depends on someone's needs and preferences. The addition of 1080p 60fps video stabilisation and portrait night mode could be enough reasons for some people to upgrade from the A54. I have the a54 and it can take some real good videos in 4k if you can manage to hold it still which isn't easy lol. I definitely can tell the difference in the stabilization, they really improved it on here I was very impressed how still it was compared to the a54. I am sad the U.S. won't get the a55. But thank you for the great video!

It doesn't take much better selfie. I would say they are very close. If money is not an issue I would because of the other new additions like better 1080p 60fps and night mode for portrait. If that's not important to you then keep the A54. Thanks for watching the video and stay safe.

A54 seems to be sharper. A55 adds a yellow tint which makes the colors unatural.

0:52 The A55 seems to have a bokeh on the background , which is not what I am used to seeing from a front facing camera , can anyone else please verify.

Well, that was recorded with the A55. Not a big deal. It could be a quick focus adjustment when panning around.

I was thinking about what happened to SAMSUNG this year. All their devices look like inferior in cameras when compared to previous generation. A54 is superior.

It looks like the A55 take better videos but way worse photos, it's almost like they're flipped. The A55's video is more lively and clear while the A54 is overexposed and duller, but the A54's photo is way more vibrant and clear while the A55 instead looks dull and kinda over-smoothened
