S23 can't use an micro SD card but A54 can. I don't understand why I would pay more for less features.

I don't own any Samsung phones, but I know that fact the Flagship phones don't have SD cards because you can get in these days big capacities of 512GB or even 1TB, so you don't need some features that don't compete with the latest new technology, because SD card is just an old thing, that's why they add at the budget phones. Keep that in mind, the Flagship phones have their latest technology compared to budget phones, and even they add some budget technology to keep earning from budget phones tho, so Flagship phones have expensive ones.

The only reason they don't add micro SD support on their flagships a grand or above is to shove even more money from the consumer! What a joke. At least Sony gives you a micro SD card slot and 3,5mm headphone jack with their flagships. In former days at least a headphone jack was standard on nearly every device. It's sad. -

@@mrliberoxit's an old thing because they made it old by phasing it out, but it's extremely useful especially for a person who switches phones once a year. I know I could use Smart Switch and transfer over everything that way, but taking an SD card out and putting it in another phone is more efficient. I also had the S21 FE and I had to switch to the A54 because I was running out of storage. I actually prefer the A54 even though the S21 FE has better specs. The SD Card is also useful because you can take it out of your phone and put it in your computer to transfer files that way. Transferring files to the computer by using a USB cable is pretty slow.

Of course the S23 is better. That's not the point of the video. The point is that most of us do not need to spend the extra cash on the S23. The A54 is more than good enough for what we need from a phone. I have the A54. I got it from Samsung Ireland for 307 euro when I traded in my A52. I got galaxy buds 2 for free and the price included the clear case. Is it worth it. The short answer is yes. The screen is great, the audio is great. The battery is great, the connectivity is great. My current phone is an S22+. I like it a lot, but if not for battery degradation, I would still be using my S10e. The pricing on phones is ridiculous. My next phone will be a budget choice. I want a good display, but it doesn't have to be great. I don't care about refresh rates. It's my phone, not my laptop. Also, as long as I have a decent camera and video, that's good enough for me because I usually only post to social media. If I need really good pictures, I'll use a real camera. I don't want an extremely slow phone, but since I only occasionally watch videos on my phone and I don't play games, a decent processor is good enough. Just that processor alone makes it worth paying a bit more for the 'S' model. For a start nobody pays full price for one(they do the best trade in prices), and also if that chip is lagging and stuttering straight out of the box, what's it going to be like in a year or two. In my opinion the more expensive phone is far better value over time
I owned a pixel 7a since it launched in May got it in the Coral color unlocked straight from Google for 8 weeks gave me nothing but heating and very very bad reception/signal issues and I'm using Verizon as my phone service. I went back to using the Motorola One 5G Ace UW on Verizon which got 4-5 bars of signal instead of 0-2 of signal on the Pixel 7a
I'm so glad that I went with A54 5G and I got a pretty good deal with it. I got a 25W Samsung wall adapter and a Samsung branded clear hard case but on a separate package. The last time I actually went with an A series phone was with Galaxy A9 back in 2018 and after that I went with Galaxy Note10+ and Note20 Ultra 5G until the Note20 Ultra 5G has broken down completely just a few weeks ago and that's when I decided to get a Galaxy A54 5G rather than getting the Blacked-Out Screen of my Note20 Ultra repaired for $450 on a local authorised Samsung Service Centre and since getting a new Galaxy A54 5G will just cost me $500 (128/8GB) I decided to go for it since that would also mean a guaranteed 4-major Android OS Updates compare to keeping the Note20 Ultra 5G and getting it repaired cuz that one will surely not get anymore major updates compare to A54 5G. It was indeed a good deal and a steal since they gave me a FREE 25W charger worth $30 and a clear case worth $10 if I bought it separately on Samsung. And since I had a charger set back on Note20 Ultra I decided to reuse it and keep the free adapter and buy myself a tempered glass and clear jelly case cuz I didn't really like the hard case that might cause some damage on the plastic side railings of the phone. And so far this has been the first time for a long time that an a series phone really #Amazed and #Astounded me after Galaxy A9. #AisForAwesome #AisForAmazing #SamsungGalaxyA545GisForMe!

The phone makers are doing what the digital slr camera makers did 10-15 years ago. To compete they keep adding more and more features that 90% of customers don't use on a regular basis. That is why every Canon and Nikon DSLR camera has a full auto setting! Back in the day film cameras such as the Pentax K1000 only had 3 settings. You could set the film speed on a dial 100 iso 400 iso etc, change the shutter speed, or change the aperture. Then look through the viewfinder & see if the exposure needle was more or less in the middle. Then push the shutter button!
Giving the A54 hate is bad. I have this phone, and the performance is why better and efficient. I play any game without issues.

The S series isn't all that it's cracked up to be compared to the A series. If performance and camera quality are really important to you go for it, but it's really not worth the price difference for the average consumer in my opinion. The display is almost as good as the S series and now they made the A54 have a build quality that's almost as good as the S series also. The only real sacrifice that you're making by getting a phone in the A lineup is performance which is barely noticeable for everyday tasks. If you're a gamer or a video editor that's a different story.

What's better in the S series compared to an A series is barely noticeable since I'm don't use camera much and using the phone for heavy usage. I wish A54 had a headphone jack, at least it still has SD slot.
def will go with s23 due to smaller size with same equal battery, stable 4k 60fps and better night shots and also want wireless charging
This comparison is a bit disingenuous imo. Galaxy A54 5G has more reliable biometrics and battery life than Pixel A series. If I played Genshin Impact, took pictures/video, Text Messaged, Talked, and ran KZread vids at 1080P+ all day my A54 5G wouldn't last two days either.
Im having the same problem. I have the s23+ and this phone. I like a lot of things about the a54 but your right it studder a bit here and there. I was hopingfoe a software update to help with this before the reurn period was up to see if it will smooth out but nothing yet. Samsung has the right idea with this phone phone but why not just put a SD in this thing. There are so many great phones at that price that it makes it hard to pick the a54 over other phones. I mean even an older 765 would have been better then what we have. comparing a "Flagship" to a midrange. Was the outcome in question. This actually made me more impressed with the A54. How about you compare the A54 to the A53 or/and the A52
If you have the money for it, always go for the flagship. I'll hazard a guest that most people just don't. From the piling of bills and an ongoing global recession, purchasing a flagship phone just doesn't make sense for the average joe. Now, if your country has phone susbsidies or if you are wealthy, then sure go ahead. But it is unwise to spend too much on a phone that primarily would be a social media machine in this economy. My advice would be to buy a used flagship from 2-3 years ago. They have multiple software updates already so they are likely more stable. There are multiple reviews online to learn about them. Lastly, spare parts should be available and at a lower cost if repair is needed.
Never had lag or stutter on mine lol
If you are the type of person who does not change their phone often and since phone degrade over time, I think the S series will be a better choice if you are thinking of using the phone in a long term.

Comparing these two phones is kind of crazy. They are in two completely different categories. The Google Pixel 7a refenced at the end is not at the same price point either. It's more comparable to the S23 than the A54. Be fair with your benchmarking please. Also, recognise that the A54 is not positioned to be attractive to someone who is willing to pay $1k for a phone. Finally, when you call the phone cheap, do you mean cheaply and poorly made given its price point or do you mean inexpensive but gives good value for money? That distinction is very important in your reviews. I humbly suggest keeping that in mind in the future. Thanks for the video and good luck.

@@PhoneArena Pros :- 1. Updates are very good to have 2. Front and back camera are outstanding 3. In hand feel and premiumness is good 4. Durability is good 5. smooth while using daily apps and gaming 6. Battery barely uses while on Device standby 7. Stereo speakers are amazing 8. Battery life was good before One UI 5.1 (9+hours) 9. Fast charging works even with my Huawei charger (for Galaxy S20fe 5g it didn't) 10. 5G is very good to have and it was faster than 5G on Apple phone 12 11. (Link to Windows copy and paste across devices, image/gif remaster, secure folder, flow) amazing and must have features. 12. smart switch for backuping files, settings on pc unlike other android brands is very good. 13. Macro camera is actually very good best I have seen 14. On Bright daylight both front and back camera outperform Apple phone 12 and Galaxy S20fe. HDR is miles better than apple 15. Can use the device without case because back is plastic nothing to Crack. 😂 Con :- 1. Not nearly as optimized as Galaxy S series 2. Can't play music and game together it will make music scratching and cracking sound after 5 minutes 3. high wifi latency compared to other wifi 5 devices 4. Not smooth while exiting apps or unlocking device 5. Taking photos at night with flash of a while flower is bad didn't fixed I heard is also exists on A54. 6. Some times it heats while Gaming sometimes it don't so I don't know it's a exynos or software optimization problem. 7. Night photography is poor 8. Many Galaxy S series features and upcoming major software update features are missing.

@@Xevos701 I bought it when Galaxy A53 launched. Anyway even now for that price I will buy Galaxy A53 over A34. Infinity o display looks much better on Galaxy A53

@@joel_subash You'd buy the A53 over A34 due to the infinity-O screen? Bruh. A34 has better screens specs (1000 nits, Vision Booster), better performance (D1080), Better battery life, similar cameras, improved speakers and haptic etc... etc...
JUST LIKE 99 PERCENT OF PHONE REVIEWS ARE SILLY.. SO IS THIS ONE
A34 is smooth 😂
A 54 video looked better
Wtf, I can buy a xiaomi 12 with $500 and it is way better than this phone😂😂😂😂
The one and only place where samsung really cut corners in the A54 is the processor ! This literally killed the phone. Other then that, everything else is to be expected in this price range. The phone is actually ok for people who don't play games and some photography is their only priority, as well as some youtube and netflix !

@Brad Becker : Not much of a gamer, are you? Did you try call of duty mobile or genshin impact?
It's robbery for such weak components and specs.
