Galactic 02 - Virgin Galactic’s second commercial spaceflight - was launched from Spaceport America, New Mexico, on 10 August 2023, with VSS Unity being released from VMS Eve at 15:17 UTC (09:17 local time). VSS Unity, the second SpaceShipTwo, transported three private passengers: Jon Goodwin, Keisha Schahaff, Anastatia Mayers; as well as Beth Moses (Chief Astronaut Instructor), CJ Sturckow (pilot) and Kelly Latimer (pilot). VMS Eve was piloted by Nicola Pecile and Mike Masucci.

    It looks like a small hole, you are right. Something might have hit it somewhere in those 182 kms of travel... Space trash or something coming back, maybe a bird or something.

    The Karman line being the boundary of space is a bit of a myth - some agencies do use it as such, but others have a different definition. E.G. The US Air Force defines it as the lowest perigee which allows a satellite to complete one more orbit be fore re-entering - which is 80km not 100km. Plus: The Karman line moves, depending on how things like space weather heat the upper atmosphere - 100 km is just the average height. The conditions at 80km are almost identical to those at 100km, and the flight got to just under 90km - so I'm willing to give it to them.
