So which god you talking about? santa claus, allah, the easter bunny? There are so many idols, but only ONE True God, tell me, what's the name of the God you are talking about? Why not uplift his name? Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and God manifest in the flesh, hence Jesus Christ is God. Can't trust in God without the name of God.

David, Guy, Mark, and Bill are the vocal band I knew growing up, and will always be my favorite, for exactly this reason. Bill and Mark always knew just how to play off each other.

Mark, how blessed you are to have a beautiful singing voice and a great sense of humor. God blessed you big. Love you Gaither guys.

I'm so glad that bill gaither did these videos. It fills my heart with joy to hear my favorite singers. Thanks Mr. Gaither and homecoming friends.

I love wholesome humor, and when its added to Christian culture...i think it opens the doors wider for unbelievers to take a peek in, walk in,and hopefully stay.

I’m just amazed that Mark was able to keep his part steady with the things he was pulling

I'm always amazed at how David Phelps and Guy Penrod held it together so well with Mark's antics. I would've been ROFL.

2022 and I still love this video. Then again I love them all❤️. I’m curious which one of the singers laughed at Mark the most? It usually shows David looking like he laughs so I’m curious how hard it is to sing when Mark makes the other singers laugh?

Left to right...David Phelps, Guy Penrod, Mark Lowry, and Bill Gaither. I have seen this group in person at the Ford Center and the crowd ALWAYS responds in such a mighty way, it makes you cry. It's beautiful. My all-time, best loved gospel group!!!

I love watching these guys as well. I have this on my music playlist. I watched a documentary that Bill done and he said that he had no clue what was going on, except he knew it had to be Mark doing something. He said that he closes his eyes cause he gets so into the song, he doesn't notice. Now I am not sure if this is one of the videos he did not know what he was doing, but by the reaction everyone gave him. I don't think any of them knew what Mark was gonna do. I have watched newer videos they done of this song and the latest one, Bill ends up laughing because he knows what Mark is suppose to do, but things kinda don't go exactly as planned. The guys do the song a bit different and Mark doesn't know what to do or when to do it. That is funny to watch. And if you want to watch a real funny video of these guys....watch the one titled, "I'm Gonna Keep On" and it has Jake Hess in it. It is an older video, but it's a must watch and it is so very funny.

To me the most amazing thing is how they hit that "Want" at the end so perfectly after all the messing around. to me that's just nuts.

People may not know this, but as goofy as Mark Lowry can be, like in this video, he can also get serious sometimes. He co-wrote the song "Mary Did You Know". And he is a good speaker, too. Very talented guy.

I have watched this several times and love it each time. They are all so talented and Mark is just hilarious. My favorite part is at the end when Mark says, “You Haven’t seen nothin yet.” They all 3 were not expecting that and had genuine burst of laughter. The Joy of the Lord is irreplaceable. ❤❤

OMG! Love the Gaither vocal band..... I miss this in 2020. Can never get bored of it.

It's fun to go back and watch it again and just observe how Guy and David react to to Mark's antics. I admit that this was my favorite version of the GVB.

2:17 - Even guy and david cant hold back their laughter!!!

I bet Bill was rolling in the floor when he started editing for the video and saw what Mark was actually doing. Bill most likely gave Mark free reign, to a certain extent, and kept his eyes closed so he couldn't see what Mark did. Boy was he surprised. lol And poor Guy and David. How they kept their composure is beyond me. They definitely needed that relief during Mark's ovation. LOL

It was probably spontaneous and funny the first time, but by the time something is ready to be filmed they have probably done it in a hundred live shows. Mark’s delivery, though, could make any old hat strike gold with that kind of crowd. For this song and especially John the Revelator I prefer it old school, like Abby the Spoonlady. Peace.

I really enjoy the song"Mary Did You Know", the 1st time that I heard the song was back in the winter of 2007 sung by Kenny Rogers and Winona Judd. It has since became not just my favorite Christmas song, but a favorite year round. I had no idea that Mark Lowry actually wrote the song. And because my mom was a fan of the Gaither's, I grew up enjoying the music as well. Thank you Mark for bringing such a beautiful song into the world for so many of us to enjoy, reflect on, and appreciate Jesus and God even more!!!

Listen God has a purpose for your life. (Everyone's life). Just start asking him to show you. Psalms 149 or 139 (I think that the right ) says all the days of our lives are written in a book in Heaven. Everyone has one. Ask Father God what your book says. Start pursuing God like you never have. Read the Bible and literally apply it. Show God you will exercise the obedience, discipline, control, restraint, faith and trust in Him and His Word. Then He'll show you great things! GOD BLESS YOU!

+dskap201 Psalms 100:2, "Worship the Lord with gladness, come before Him with joyful songs." and many other verses in the Bible speak of worshipping the Lord with joyful praise. Jesus went to the wedding in Cana, turned the water into wine and I doubt he sat with a glum face while others danced and sang joyfully. I believe He had fun and He expects us to be happy in our praise of Him. How sad for you that your heart of love for Jesus doesn't make you want to tap your feet, sing and dance for joy. God would not want us to be down-in-the-mouth as we worship Him. I will pray for your heart to be filled with joy in the Lord.

I really like to picture our Jesus as a child, laughing and playing with the other kids. Though you are right, there is not a lot mentioned in the Bible about Jesus as a child, whether He laughed or not. I truly hope so. I would never bring shame unto our Lord, ever!

I always listen to the leader & his Mrs when singing in church with group of people. Luv the songs. Since I found this, never miss playing & laughing hard out. It's funny & amazing. Even the singer with the long hair & the other one I've always watched them b4 they have grey hair. sang with them.Admire their great senses of humors. Luv them.

Praise the Lord..! I love bill concentration while worshiping Lord Jesus.. That's the way we all Christian should worship even in the fiercest storm..

You know Bill Gaither had to know something was up when everyone kept laughing. He was probably thinking, "I know Mark is up to something, but I don't care. Mark's just gonna be Mark." XDD

I enjoyed this very much as a very new Gaither vocals fan.....Mark, you're SO funny!! We all need humour, whatever our circumstances.

My in-laws and I were in the audience for this. We're shown at the end of the video!!! Was a great night in New Orleans.
