Ingredients
Wheat (soaked) -भीगे हुये गैंहूं - 1/2 cup (100 grams)
Sugar - चीनी - 1/4 cup (50 grams)
Jaggery (grated) - गुड़ - 1/2 cup (60 grams)
Ghee - घी - 3 to 4 tbsp
Milk - दूध - 1 litre
Coconut (grated) - कद्दूकस किया हुआ नारियल - 1/4 cup
Cashews (finely chopped) - काजू - 10 to 12
Almond (finely chopped) - बादाम - 10 to 12
Cardamom powder - इलायची - 1/4 tsp (4)
Nutmeg powder - जायफल - 1/4 tsp

Thank you Nisha mam from bringing this traditional recipe... Those who are thinking this is a new recipe.... This is a traditional recipe from uttara karnataka and parts of Maharashtra... In kannada they call it godi huggi... And in marathi... Gavhachi kheer... Healthy yet delicious....

Thanks for the nice wheat kheer recepi,l have read it somewhere that traditionally jaggery and normal cow's milk is never mixed instead coconut milk is used and that's how ayurveda prescribes it.

@@rajeshwarimanjrekar madem,I totally believe you,Nisha ji l have been following v regularly,just for experiment sake try it with coconut milk it's a totally a different experience,lm sure Nish ji will agree with me ,and yes instead of adding jaggery in the end try adding with wheat.

Take wheat of needed quantity , mixer it just to make 2/3 pices of one wheat grain : broken wheat . Then soak and remove chilkas but not as much as shown here . Only the hard upper crust , just one or two times a second . Wash just once in a deep vessel and then do the kheer
