Look at this madman soldering directly over his CBA pedals - that's confidence!!

Brilliant! Anna's voice over was my favourite part 😊

I came here to say that!
I love that his wife talks in the video!!! So much nicer than just random Yakety Sax music going. Very kind of her to mix things up!
ANNA SHOULD HAVE A PODCAST
I subscribed to this channel because I wanted to see this exact video. I saw Joey on TPS and thought his creativity with how he uses his gear was so inspiring. Keep it up.
My wife has helped me with both of my pedal builds, once mounting a power supply, and then helping me with cable management. It is a part of speaking a guitar nerd's love language.
The hi friends just made me laugh hysterically out loud by myself and almost what my pants... Way too perfect!
Your pedalboard setup is a work of art! I'm really impressed by how you've crafted your tone.✌️
great to see your progress and process. Looking forward to part three!
Thank you both for making my day and the excellent response, I could watch this for hours.

Thanks for saying so! I’m already planning another board so… you probably can watch for hours! Or at least for another hour or so;)
Hi Anna! Awesome editing, great video👏👏👏
Love it, great board Joe, and hi Anna!!
Great video! Can't wait to see you in Austin!
Love this stuff 🙂
Amazing that no small child has come in. Kudos to mum and dad😉

We filmed at my studio which isn’t at our house!
Hi friend! Look forward to hearing that board in Philly!
This was very soothing :)
I love how you call that a small board! LOL

You should see the big board…

@@joeylandrethmusic LOL. I'm sure. I think that my board is quite large physically, but two of the pedals are huge (a Zoom G3X and a Line 6 AM4). Your small board is only slightly smaller than my huge board!
You’re killing me Smalls!
Awesome J🎉
That soldering block connector holder thingy is genius. Can I have that 30 years ago. I also dig the SD9. Originally purchased because it was cheap but it keeps sticking around. I like it after the AP Broadcast. Thanks for the music and fun gear videos.
Hi Anna! All hail Joey's smol board.
Is that the same shirt you wore in Minneapolis? 😂 thanks for the video! Loving it!

It is! The very same one…
Hi. Sam here. I’m in Winnipeg also. I love the creative aspect of instruments and gear. Are there others like me and you in the peg that you know of? I’m seeking a community of fellow nerds. Lol

Hey Sam! Oh yes, we nerds are all over! Not sure where exactly, but we're here!
I'm pretty sure every Mike Landau fan has a SD-9 on their board 😁

Yes!! It’s all changed now but the original idea was SD9, Octavia and Arion SCH-1…
Cool thanks
Ever considered have Goodwood make a custom junction box housing all the connections you need? I had them make a dry out + audition + stereo out (1/4” and long line option)
Awesome video! Looking forward to the final run through. Very curious about the MC6 Pro integration. Also, where did you get the soldering tray you used with all the various plugs and connector options?

It’s a Panavice!
Why do you have a throwaway coffee cup, eh, Joey? Surely you have a nice stainless steel one? A ceramic one? C'mon!
Hi Anna. Would be very un-Canadian to not say hi after she said hi. Loving the Squidwards. Appreciate addressing my inquiry. Feel a bit of an idiot not remembering it was the Blooper on the big board. But as that board had more pedals than the average L&M I'm not too worried. Board's looking tidy.
Did you do the video of the show and tell of the build?
Just finished the first vid and the last (most recent)...maybe you'll say in here, but I really wanted to know what board brand/model this was? Is it a Vertex board?
What brand of board is that? Anyone know?

Creation Music Supply! We are going to work on linking to stuff in the description. We’re just learning these here KZread ropes!
Why did you decide against a taller board that you could mount pedals underneath? Double surface area for more toys
@joeylandrethmusic

Honestly, I don’t know. I felt like this was going to be the best option and once it was all built I kinda wished that I had put it on something that had more real estate underneath. All in the name of science!

@@joeylandrethmusic Hey, totally reasonable, I'm just a lil demon on the shoulder. Excited to see y'all on tour!
Let me know if you ever need a fitted riser - happy to send samples.
Did you make a trs to two mono with square plugs?
@joeylandrethmusic
Жыл бұрын
Yep! Using the new square plug sp7s(I think that’s the model…)
What are you using to power this beast???
Does Joey or do you use open C tuning when you’re playing acoustic guitar as well?
Why use (and take up the real estate) of the GFI Duophony, when you can utilize the matrix of the ML10X? ALSO...why did you choose the big-ass GigRig-2 loop switcher instead of the Morningstar MC5 (no buffer on that one, my friend)...integrates with your MC6 Pro way easier. Surprised that there wasn't a Jackson Audio Bloom V2 on your board...I think that's where I found out about you...I have one and there is a mode named after you. Have you tried putting the Audition into one of the ML10X loops? I have this idea of using it for a send of "dry" for a Wet/Dry/Wet set up on an otherwise "stereo amp" set up (old school JC120 player). I love your Canare preference...I learned to make cables on Quadstar...the unbraiding of the ground is an art. Nice build...hope I didn't "KZread armchair coach" on you too much...just curious. You're the pro...I just want to understand the logic (OR...the lack of, because sometimes we do things our own way). Keep on making sweet suite music.
Here’s one for ya, could you get away with ditching the Emperor and setting up a vibe preset on the Condor? I’ve got one going and it’s decently convincing, especially if you’re trying to minimize.
@joeylandrethmusic
Жыл бұрын
Would love to hear about how you’re doing that! I’m a super fan of the subtle pitch shift and that’s what I’ve been using the emperor. Since finishing the board I actually had it out on a gig a swapped a bunch of things around including the emperor. So, yeah! Tell me how you’re getting the condor to pitch shift!
@aaroncurtis4476

@@joeylandrethmusic I keep getting the JHS Unicorn and Emperor mixed up. I was thinking of a univbe type thing with the Condor. Here’s my settings for that as they may come in handy at some point. If only one could get some actual pitch shifting out of the Condor, now that would be something. Univibe type settings: Gain and Ramp: 10 o’clock Freq: 2 o’clock Vol: 1 o’clock Bass: Fully clockwise with toggle to the left Mids: Fully counterclockwise with toggle in the middle LPF: 2:30 o’clock with toggle in the middle Dipswitches: Freq, Bass, Bounce: On

Ahhhhh, cool! Might have to try that… yeah, that’s the trouble when you don’t have what the pedal does in the name!!
@aaroncurtis4476
Жыл бұрын
@@joeylandrethmusic I don’t have a Thermae, but I’m guessing you can’t get some sort of pitch shifting that would do out of it? That said, you’d lose out on having a delay when you do. I have a couple Tonal Recall RKMs on my board, and one has a preset saved for that wonky-chorus type thing, almost similar to a Shallow Water. Joel Korte did a “Boards of Canada” preset video I swiped the settings from. It works for me when I don’t have my Shallow Water on my board. That’s the nice thing with these Chase Bliss pedals. Anyway, good luck with the board build and upcoming tour. Will look out for you guys across Canada in 2023 (Banff show last year was great!).

Where do you get the cables? I like the patch cables and the connectors

Please do a version of your rig/tone on helix native for us folks that can't afford your gear 😂😅
Joey, get some professional dental picks to de-braid the shield. Way easier!
Sonic distortion is just a tube screamer with an extra gain stage sorry to burst your bubble maybe the mod changes that but my bro used to have one and with his crappy peavey raptor single coils and a blues junior the treble was atrocious but the sd9 was good for vocals to make a megaphone effect
