Although you have lets say "common" guests seen on yt channels, you always find way to ask original well formed questions, which means that you are always well informed on guests and their work and that shows the effort you put in this. Not interrupting guests, or giving too many of your own opinions, just enough that it doesnt seem you re flexing or some shit like many other podcasters. In short, I said if any company could hire workers 20% cheaper, that would be all they would hire. So companies should just hire women. So I said, so men and women are equal right, she said YES. I said government laws say they are paid the same and pretty much they are based on skills and experience. It led into a segway days later into how much people earn for a choosen career. It was an eye opener, I really think the kids thought everyone earned equal wages. It looks like everyone is working right!

So maybe we can get out of the woods. But that is unlikely.

"Man will only come to his senses when his condition becomes intolerable." This quote from Sir Francis Bacon gives me hope that mankind may be at a positive turning point. We can't fight an enemy until we know what it is, and where it is. However it would seem that the sworn enemy of mankind has gone into some kind of panic mode, and thus exposed itself like a high street flasher, after downing a box of viagra. Evil has its armour on and sword in its hand before good has even found its socks. They have now started to wake up, and many have found their socks. We have given these bastards so much rope, they seem determined to hang themselves from their own front patios. They have already thrown the sink, kitchen, bath water and baby at the will of the masses, but nothing seems to be working as planned. Even their silly virus has turned out to be a dud. They better have several more plans up their sorcerer's sleeve or these criminals are done, and not a century too soon.

I've figured that the problem is not what is, and what is not truth. The problem is that we live in a society where we are inundated by information (i.e news), and has been the case since the dawn of mankind, negative news is what is seen and heard. So, for example, over and over we see a video of a black person killed by the actions of a cop. One tragic act in a country of 330 million citizens. Not exactly something that occurs on every street corner. And the death was not intentional and the cop was charged for the act. And perhaps most importantly, race may have been a compete non factor. But none of those facts are seen in the video.

As best as I can explain - within these post-modernist derived movements and worldviews, they get taught that truth is subjective, and that all facts and 'ways of knowing' that we rely on are merely the 'narratives'' of the dominant (racial) power group forced upon other minorities who might have different truth. There is no coming to a universal truth, one group simply has different beliefs, and the other has its own, and they can't come together because that would be one group dominating the other (racism, sexism, etc). It is fundamentally racist, divisive, and offers no future where people can work together as one. So when one adopts this worldview, they view news, science, history, any inter-personal dialog, as a power-struggle. To some extent, truth does not matter because there is only their groups truth and they are engaged in a power struggle to dominate. Showing only the black men killed in police encounters, while ignoring all the other people and circumstances, and the stats...serves a narrative. Narratives trump facts now.

@@CP-pt1ot I have been saying for years that ethnic multiculturalism simply does not work. The U.S. has been trying to make it work since the Civil Rights Revolution and for several generations the effort has failed. It comes down to cultures with different priorities, interests and values but with the expectation that somehow the end result will be a society that has various forms of equality, including the most important one, economic equality. But the desired equality cannot happen. My advice, as if anyone would listen, would be a huge program to make a single, all-inclusive American culture. An alternative suggestion would be a geographic separation of cultures/ethnic groups with assigned states.

My KZread automatically put me onto this, I don't watch much Modern Wisdom but I am subscribed, will watch more now. I stayed to see Jeff Goldblum's Dad from Independence day! I've subscribed to Gad now and I'm looking forward to watching his KZread channel, can't even call him 'based', he just seems 'right'. Using our given rationality, and having it fed with nicely explained points that even my 3 day old pigeon brain can understand! Thanks.

Often I wonder if he is even breathing when he speaks. No one in their right mind can successfully challenge him. He's got the GIFT.

I’m really glad to hear Gad the same thoughts I have had with regards to Sam Harris’ TDS. It’s made it really difficult for me to take him seriously when he has spent so much time promoting and practicing emotional awareness and control through mindfulness but the is constantly sidetracked into TDS screeds on his podcast.
