Don't forget that Stefano is one of the five people who ever climbed a 9b+. And by the way, Lowa is a german brand. The name comes from Lorenz Wagner :)

I have an entire video of Stefano coming out soon! He's such a talented climber. I did mess up there - I actually had a pair of the Lowa Rockets and it had a made in Italy tag on it - but I should have double checked. They do manufacture/distribute from Italy, but definitely are a German company. Thanks for the catch! I'll put an annotation on it to fix it.

Amazing video thank you very much and congratulations to Gabriele. The title is a bit misleading though. I assume you arrived at the 122k hours by doing 14 (years)*365 (days/year)*24 (h/d) = 122640...however the timeframe for the 10k "rule" is actual hours of deliberate practice not total time elapsed. Not sure how much a climbing pro practices but if we assume a regular workday of 8h and 250 days of working on their craft (because they have to rest and 8h deliberate practice for a pro athlete is a very high estimate) we arrive at "only" 28k hours. Still an insane number, goes to show that you need about 5 years of full time dedication to reach the 10k.

10:08 so I did some math. 10,000 hours= 416.667 days Add in 8hrs of sleep a day and that adds up to 6225hrs of sleep. Add three meals a day and I gave an hour a day to food. Assuming you’ve got outside engagements and personal events, I’ve added an additional hour on average per day. Training: 10,000 Sleep: 3,336 Food: 417 Extra: 417 ________________________ 14,170 hrs min. 14,170 hrs translates to 590.416 days. 590.416 days is 1 year and 225.4 days. Just barely over 1 1/2 years. You guys can do anything if you set your mind to it!

Add in 9 hrs work and 45 min drive to the gym. I was doing the math for myself over an 8 year period. Figured if I can be an expert by the age of 40 I'd be satisfied with that. Still would take me 3 1/2 hours a day which is not at all possible for me. Maybe I'll give myself an additional 5 years.
