Its like Jacaranda trees, which were brought to Mexico by a Japanese landscape architect and pretty mucj since then the tree is considered as Mexican yet is a little bit of both

As a teen living somewhat close to bordering cities of SoCal in the 90s, My favorite Mexican snack growing up was a small cup of spicy liquid with 2 saladitos in it. It wasn't chamoy, I actually think it was something the ice cream person made themselves, tbh as I have never found that exact flavor ever again. But I will always remember those magic cups of spicy Chile liquid the ice cream man sold. 50 cents each.

Growing up in El Paso, these weren’t Mexican candies, they were just candy. Moving away and losing access to my childhood treats was really tough. Luckily, I found a taqueria with a little market that sells the Lucas pelucas candies and the spicy watermelon lollipops, I’m finally getting my tamarind fix

Next time do the "obleas". This was one of my favorites growing up! They look like the wafers you get during mass, for those of you who were raised in the Catholic religion. But they took it up a notch by adding "cajeta" in the middle of two wafers. Cajeta is caramel that is traditionally made with goat's milk. So delicious! I know you know what I'm talkin' bout Fluffy! 😜

As an adult living in Mexico, for a short while. I tried these snacks and really enjoyed them. Some of their chocolate was not my favorite but still enjoyed, different candy.

By far *THE BEST* Snacked, so far! Gabriel Iglesias is definitely an interesting, hilarious, and inspirational guy!

There's a mexican saying that tells " baby imagine how I'm gonna treat you if I'm careful enough to not break the mazapán when i unwrap it "!

For me being only 17 years old I have traveled all over the globe. Mexico was most definitely my favorite place. Love the culture, had fun and of course the food was amazing

No, Fluffy is actually right. What people here call "limes" (or key limes) is really "Limon Mexicano", grown mostly in the state of Michoacan, Mexico.

it's a little confusing but we call both pork rinds and the wheat ones "chicharrones." The wheat ones come in wheels as well and different brands aren't chile limon seasoned, so you can put hot sauce on them.

It made me wish we had a Mexican store in my area in Canada so I could try and taste test these on my channel !!! They all looked so delicious !!

I got to pal around with Gabriel for an evening as part of an internship in 2014. Absolute great dude. His set went super long and he paid the driver of the bus to wait (like... A LOT of money). Great guy, couldn't be nicer. Cove Haven 2014, what a night.

Mexican snacks bring back fun memories. They are the best!

When I started getting into Fluffy, dude was in his late 30s (I forgot that he was on All That in the 90s, lol and I'm a 90s kid). His weight then made me worried about his health. Saw him live a couple of years later live. Dude slimmed a bit, but that's when he opened up about him getting diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes and that he HAD to lose a couple of pounds to stay alive. He said he went from Fluffy to Buffy there. Glad he made that light joke, but glad that he realized along the way that he has that potential to keep that success he ended up getting and deserves and that he needs to preserve as much health as he can so he can live for a long time. Love Fluffy as a comedian and he seems like a great guy to meet. I'd be devastated if he died young.

Only episode of this I'm giving the light of day. Love Fluffy

All these snacks makes me miss my uncle alot, him and my aunt live miles away now and I've got to visit them soon!!

I really love Gabriel's comedy, but videos like this really express his kind and intelligent side that I think I appreciate even more. Would love to see him to more reviews like this or just talking about stuff. Him just talking affectionately about his childhood snacks is genuine experience that he shares with the audience.

Man, some of those snacks bring back *memories* ! I would hang out with my cousins, sitting at a street corner, throwing fireworks, and snacking on these bad boys. Good times!

@@FoodTastertv Takis are great! You can't go wrong with fuego! Honestly, I think it would be great to one day try poutine, real maple syrup, Canadian bacon, bagged milk, and ketchup chips from Canada. It would be a fun food adventure for my tastebuds.

@@RosieBabyCheeks LOL bagged milk is only in the province of Ontario , ketchup chips from LAYS are delicious !!! Poutine can be amazing if done right and im NOT a fan of maple syrup But I did try maple cookies on my channel and apparently I like those a lot LOL . Im glad I decided to do taste testing videos on my channel cause honestly its like fun adventure for the taste buds !!

@@FoodTastertv You know, bagged milk being in Ontario makes sense, since my friends who told me about it lived in Ontario at the time. Although, I'm kind of surprised to hear they are only sold there. I did hear that Lays ketchup chips were really good. Coincidentally, in Mexico there are chips called Sabritas de adobadas, which are potato chips with tomato and a chile that isn't really spicy. I wonder if they taste similarly to Lays ketchup chips? I'll have to check out you video on maple cookies then. I'm curious if there is something in the ingredients that makes you like the cookies more or if there is a difference type of maple syrup adding into the recipe? Taste testing videos are fun to watch, especially if it involves food I'm nostalgic for or it involves a challenge in some way. I wish you luck in your food journey!

Lol he just scratched 0.1% of Mexican candy and snack world, trust me when I say this there are lots of things that you need to go to a Mexican store to get and even then you won’t find everything. God I love going to Mexican store to get me that nostalgia.

I've had De La Rosa Mazapan before. They have the obvious peanut butter taste, but it's a little sweeter, there's peanuts in every piece, it's got a powdered sugar texture and it melts in your mouth. Quite a crazy snack, but it's real good at the same time

Sean Evans did such a great job building this channel to where it is now with Hot Ones. Bigger stars + bigger outreach = bigger influence

Gaming is intense, but Takis are seriously intense...

I just had a mazapan a second ago, love those things. They and the Japanese peanuts are pretty common at convenience stores in Tennessee.

Fun fact: Tomatoes originated in Mexico. When the Spanish conquered Mexico in the 16th century, they discovered that Aztecs used tomatoes in their cooking. The conquerors then brought tomato plants back to Europe.

i wonder if the italians perfected growing and cooking tomatoes or maybe its because of their soil. cuz to this day, they say the best tomoatos/pizza sauce comes from italy. maybe naples? i forget, its italy nonetheless. edit: btw that thought process had led people to believe tomatoes originated in italy. not being sarcastic when i say, thanks for the history lesson.

I used to love Lucas as a kid, but they stopped making it because it was found to contain a lot of lead. So no more Lucas, if you find some I wouldn't advise eating it lol

I trust Gabriel when he says something tastes good.
