Yes, Charlie, it IS mental. He lost to some really dumb acts but in the end, he lost to a dog. A cute dog. A cute dog that was well-choreographed, but he was a DOG. I know many don’t agree with me, but I think humans should come before dogs in a talent competition about humans. It’s like awarding the dog handler 1st prize in a dog show! What!? I don’t care how cute he was. But Americans are suckers for anything cute. And I’m American. I’m convinced that the majority of the other acts would do great on a PBS July 4th Special, but that’s it. Gabriel was robbed. Still, the guy’s a class act. He left graciously, with everyone loving his sweet and friendly nature. And he begged his angry followers (like me) to give AGT a break - that he’s not into pointing blame - that he doesn’t roll that way. In so many ways, I think is too good for us. Anyway, he’s put out two more videos since he was eliminated, and they’re both soooo good. It’s like, he did AGT then got on an elevator and went up ten floors, singing better than ever (if that’s possible). One, is his wonderful rendition of Cher’s “Beautiful” and the other is his colossal rendition of Michael Jackson’s Earth Song. Both are amazing. I hope you will listen to them.

He sang both songs beautifully, as he usually does. I had trouble looking at him because I could see him struggling with disappointment. I could see it in his eyes, his expression. So, it's difficult for me to watch both videos. His rendition of Something Beautiful is absolutely stunning. It brings me to tears not because of sadness, because it's simple something beautiful

I wholeheartedly agree Charlie!!! How did he not win??? This performance was otherworldly!!! Gabriel is continuing to get better if that's possible!!! No one can do what he does in the specific genre's he sings in!!! He is simply unmatched. Gabriel is back in Brazil working on some different projects and at some point will return to the States as his schedule and demands dictate.
