Gabriel Basso just singlehandedly unlocked humility in entertainment. I actually loved this interview! So many interviews of actors feel like just. more. acting. This felt like a real interview… he really shared his genuine thoughts and did it with so much respect for his team. Loved this!

He's so humble, seems like a real cool guy. The guy seems like a man's man too. The fighting, but he knows all these useful skills. And the fact he brought up the team part of a movie and being uncomfortable with being seen as the star when it took the whole crew to make a show good. A think a great analogy can be a football team. The quarterback is seen as the star of the team right? But that qb or team doesn't win without the other players or even good back ups coming in and role players doing well. The rest of the crew is like the offensive lineman on a team. You can have Patrick mahomes, but if the o line isn't doing their job, mahomes won't succeed nor the team. The qb gets the credit but the o line is just as much important to teams' success. The rest of the crew, the writers, the designers, the lighting, the whole staff is important to a good show

Jimmy’s right for this being the realest interview he’s ever had. Gabriel’s such a breathe of fresh air from the current actors we see on our screens and their personas. Him not only being a great actor, but a humble guy acknowledging the unsung heroes behind the camera emphasizing the collaborative process that is making a film or tv show. On top of that, being great tradesman with many different skills. He really is fascinating and I’d love for him to speak more on pretty much anything. I really am looking forward to his future and what else he can create for the world.

Gabriel actually being a person while Jimmy and people are laughing is so weird to watch. Like he had a point about his wall standing the test of time while his show won't, is pretty honest. And then pointing out how Jimmy just glossed over his illustration and went straight to "oh is that Keanu", Gabe really sees through the bs of hollywood and sees how meaningful other aspects of life is, outside of the whole glitz and glamour of hollywood

it really felt like he was there to be mocked and not to be interviewed. like i get that using the wall as an example of standing the test of time seems funny, but it's true. well built walls have stood the test of time throughout decades, centuries, even millenia. there's litterally temples in japan or palaces in china that have existed and been well maintained (of course), since before christ was born. meanwhile a show like grey's anatomy gets to be called old because it withstood 19 years?? like that's barely a baby in comparison.

Society is weird that in itself they don't gaf about the camera operator or anyone else. They like to idolize lead actors. So when they hear all this, they have nothing to do but laugh is a weird concept for them because barely any lead actors recognize behind the scenes crew. Keanu is another one that does recognize the crew.

I think it's more that people who are accustomed to being an audience on Jimmy's show are used to the ways that celebrities act. A lot of pride, arrogance, self-importance, self-promotion, and a lot of confidence that their netflix show really means something to society. And Gabe is just like "it's fun, but, nah. Things that last are important."

@@japhy4529 because he was being serious and ppl want to see humor or things light hearted on a talk show. I think they appreciated it tho. Gabriel seems like a good dude, I think someone seeming serious can make ppl uncomortable, but he does have a sense of humor, she showed it. It's just subtle as he's kind of quiet. I think ppl want to this humor and charm being outright and not a philisophical discussion, but it was refreshing. I've heard women saying they loved peter on the show and how cute his connection was to rose on the show. So women having crushes on his character. I think seeing this inteview will only make more women attracted to him because of his realness and man's man skills

Grabriel honestly gives me hope for the future, there aren’t many people in the mainstream space that are real as him. I think people are getting sick of the fakeness plastered on the walls of social media and society in general and it shows, especially when a show like this blows up like it did 🙌

I have never seen either an actor or Jimmy Fallon interact with such immediate sincerity, unaffected humility, as well as explode pretensions surrounding showbiz as I have here. Mr. Gabriel Basso has stunned me, not because he has pulled the curtain back from the fantasies of celebrity that some actors have acknowledged as artificial conventions of fame, but that he had (and still has) the willpower to depart from such a seductive lifestyle as a young adult, while many of his child star peers continued to chase that never-ending high of fame and fortune, ultimately either unable or uninterested in the "concrete world" beyond their self-contained universe. I'm profoundly impressed by Mr Basso

Wow super talented, diverse, a deep thinker, humble and hot! It was fascinating watching him philosophically discuss acting. I loved how he cheekily called out Jimmy for asking him about his art and got fixated on Keanu instead. 😂❤ Hubby and I were concerned that we didn’t recognise any of the lead actors and they’d spent it all on effects BUT Gabriel was great and the show REALLY surprised us and we enjoyed it way more than we thought we would.

Oh that’s Keanu 😂
