This is so much more complicated than a roundabout!

It is not but the video editing made it look very complicated. A high school kid with basic video editing skills could have done a much better job. I'm not sure why they call it a continuous flow intersection when vehicles have to stop and wait. I would call it: Intersection with Displaced Left Turns (IDLT) or something like that.

I've got a crazy idea. How about they just build a 2 flyover Bridges across 53 with access roads on either side.

A roundabout would have afforded businesses at the corners much better access from both roads. With this design, businesses on Hwy. 400 that are behind the diverted left turn lanes can only be accessed from Hwy. 53 going towards 400 and on the near side of 400.

This is the dumbest design. It's not continuous flow...you just stop in a different spot. You have to drive past several stores and turn around to get in them. Way to go DOT. I hope someone gets fired over this atrocity.

With this people going straight through wait less at red lights because they don’t have to wait for the people turning off the highway. Road guy rob has a video that explains and visualizes the benefits
