G6136-55GE Vintage Select Edition 1955 White Falcon • Wildwood Guitars Overview
Музыка
Experience the Falcon as it was envisioned by the great Jimmie Webster in 1955. The G6136T-55GE Vintage Select Edition 1955 White Falcon with Cadillac Tailpiece is a true “Dream Guitar” that will be the hallmark of any guitar collection. Fluid playability, robustly flexible tone and, of course, stunning Falcon style combine for a big, bold instrument that pops in the spotlight.
A pair of TV Jones® T-Armond single-coil pickups and the new Gretsch “Squeezebox” paper-in-oil capacitors power this sonic raptor for crystal-clear transparent tone that lets the soul of the guitar’s definitive hollowbody tone shine through. The Synchro-Sonic™ bridge not only lends original-era authenticity, it offers pinpoint intonation accuracy, locking into place with a thumbscrew for tool-free adjustment. Parallel tone bars reinforce the solid spruce top mated to laminated maple back and sides for powerful, balanced sound and increased projection from the 2.75”-deep body. The 12”-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and elegant mother-of-pearl hump block and feather inlays tops a maple neck with a comfortably familiar standard “U”-shaped profile for supple playability, making complex chords and intricate single-note playing effortless.
The White Falcon drips with sophisticated class, sporting shining gold hardware-including the iconic Cadillac “G” tailpiece and gold jeweled arrow knobs-gold sparkle bound neck, body and F Holes, gleaming vintage white gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and gold, vintage thick plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo. The iconic G6136T-55GE White Falcon “Vintage Select” is the quintessential “Holy Grail” guitar. Includes a deluxe hardshell case.

Who isnt?!
I could watch these two guys all day. Caw caw !!
Joe C is a treasure, he has been with Gretsch for so long, he knows the history of the firm from back to front. He is also passionate about what he sells.
This guy could make a mop handle and bucket sound good.
Ka-kaw! Ah the masticating avian hero. Greg, my brother, you da man!
OPEN insides !! No extra bracing !! This is for me !! ❤ ❤ ❤ !!
Greg is a hero of mine what an awesome guitar player
The Greg and Joe Show. Always a treat.
I recently bought a G5422TG double-cut in Snowcrest White and love it!
That last run up the neck in the key of "FUCKING WHAT!" was just glorious.

Jesse P. Pollack Great idea Greg would be brilliant.
I've recently become a Gretsch convert and bought a used 6120. I'd definitely add the '55 White Falcon to my collection if I could.
That's the most beautiful sounding and build guitar, one day White Falcon will be mine, that's for sure,a matter of time...of little time.

Buy one: this earthly life-cycle, this slice of multiverse… if it’s your dream guitar: get it. Don’t wait for retirement or winning the lottery. Ignore friends, gf, family who don’t understand. Yes it’s a lot of money. Just don’t let interest rates make you pay double. It’s a “once in a lifetime” guitar.
This man is a real guitar hero!
Joe had a smile on his face all the way through this video top playing from Greg just superb
Thee best review of any guitar
This is the best version available today without going custom. The spruce top and Dynasonics is the best recipe. You can play it sitting on your couch and still get a great sound without an amp. One issue might be that they feed back a lot because they are so resonant....so maybe not so great for metal and hard rock. But for everything else they are the best tool for the job.
beautiful and monster of guitar
Reminds me of Malcolm Young rockin out on the White Falcon
Legend.
As hilarious as he is a stunning guitar player. Love Greg!
Joe just loves to listen to Greg play because Greg is so freakin' good. (And Joe is freakin' good player in his own right.)
I've always wanted to hear some more blusier tones from Gretsch guitars. I've just wanted something with a little more meat on the bones as it were when it comes to gretsch tones and this gem has some great tones especially coming from Greg. This definitely makes me want to check out some Gretsch guitars next chance i get.
I'm forever mystified but entreaged by the vocabulistic beast that is Mr. Gregory Koch. what? Let's go to Mr. Bridge...
Here in Aus this thing will be 5k or more. I could only every dream of owning one.
Greg is killer.
The way John Frusciante plays this guitar shows how much soul this guitar has

would love to hear Greg play some The Cult on that guitar; Rain, She Sells Sanctuary, Love, Big Neon Glitter....
I know this is an old post , but what does the GE mean? Thank you.
I can’t get enough of this! Greg bald as he may be is the shit! Lol... what is hair when you can unlock the raw power as well as the subtle beauty of the guitar... especially a Gretsch! Yessss... exit with the falcon jamming out the Zep! Greg, you are my hero 🙌🏻
I have a Kay 5os or 60s with no lable in the sound hole! It an N4 I see though what ever that means???
I don't know if its Greg's playing, or if I'm really into Gretsch's now :P

True, I'm leaning towards a Duo Jet over a Les Paul.
Are these pickups better than the High Sensitive Filter-trons? Arent these Tv Jones single could little bit too sharp / bright?

I love Dynasonics. They’re a little clearer and twangier than a Filtertron. But neither is better, they both have a good specific place to fit.
You ever tried spotting a fret marker on gold sparkle binding? You canny see for shit captain, so only play them at afternoon gigs!
For some reason nobody makes a thin line 330/Casino-style with a spruce top. Not Gibson, Guild, Gretsch or anyone. The whole idea of a hollowbody is to get the top to vibrate, so why make them from maple like a centre block 335?
Today at work I said "Dig of my tailpiece...behold my falcon". Now I'm on administrative leave.

Joe Rozmanassa Yes, Greg seems to have rebounded somewhat from his substantial weight loss. Such a tough battle. I hope he gets right back on his program.
U jokes stink , but u play great , and that guitar is awesome .
