    Pac-1 is only to retain the stock bose amp. If you use an afternarket amp you wont need it. But an amp is necessary whichever route you go.

  • @FirstTimersChannel

    @FirstTimersChannel

    3 жыл бұрын

    I thought the same as you but unfortunately it won't work like that. The US factory buttons are fused onto the face plate along with the face of the stock stereo. On the JDM it can be removed so that's how they differ. You'll know what I'm talking about as soon as you remove the stock stereo.

    My G35 has a black ground and a black with stripe ground . I connected them both together to stereo harness but get hissing noise when audio on , do one of those wires need to ground to car chasis?

  • @FirstTimersChannel

    @FirstTimersChannel

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi there and thanks for commenting! Black wires typically are ground so I'm assuming connecting them together should be fine. If possible try connecting them to separate chassis points to see if it cancels out the hissing noise you hear. I'm afraid we are not stereo professionals and can only help to the best of our knowledge or at least what we would try doing to diagnose the issue. Another thing I would do is check each speaker connection to make sure there are no breaks in the wires and that they have a clean connection to each other. If you have an aftermarket amplifier connected, possibly your gain might be too high. Hope these suggestions help you!

    Hey there and thanks for commenting. We purchased the JDM double din bezel from eBay. Did a quick search and unfortunately it seems there aren't any available at the moment. The factory nav has it's own buttons so if you are doing away with that, the double din we are using in this video should be fine for you. Where your nav unit sits is a storage compartment on my G35. Prices may vary for the jdm double din because it's used. I've seen them go from $150- $200ish but in my opinion... WORTH EVERY PENNY! Keep an eye out on eBay, I'm sure they can be found elsewhere but for more $ and parts sold separately (ex. climate control unit and double din surround).

    Hey thanks for your comment! It means a lot that people are enjoying our content. To answer your question, if you have the 03-04 model G35, the dash trim is all one piece including the ac vents. On the 05+ it isn't this way. If you have an 05+ you can ditch the navi controls and keep your top storage bin like how I have it on this video. Here is a pic for example on the 03-04 models => bit.ly/3toArLG . You can clearly tell the difference between this and the one we use on this episode. Hope this helps!
