G14 4080 Various Game Performance

Back by extremely unpopular demand! I'll be putting my Zephyrus G14 RTX 4080 through its paces while simultaneously fumbling around OBS like a fool. Why would I subject both you and I to this disaster? Because some of you are gluttons for punishment, and want to see how this gaming laptop handles some AAA titles in the real world.
I will be running three of the games I commonly play - Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 5. After reviewing my base system settings to maximize performance, I'll be playing each game and showing you how it runs with all settings maxed out, and then the game settings I adjust to get as close to the 165hz screen without giving up too much visual quality.
Apologies for the grainy game video. This is the first time I've used OBS, and clearly have to adjust some settings in order to capture clearer footage. However, the FPS counter is visible, so you can see the impact of setting adjustments on speed.

I’ve been combing through laptops for the past few weeks trying to do my homework on best bang for the buck I can get. I think you’ve helped me decide on this one so thanks a million! And I’ll definitely be trying out your tweaks after I set mine up. Have you tried running anything like mw2 or helldivers 2 on this thing? I’d love to see how well it handles it.
You did such a fantastic job, with your 3 video upload about the G14 4080 ! If all goes well with my purchase...I join the G14 ranks soon too. Maybe you can do a follow up video in a couple of weeks since you do extensive gaming once in while😅 greetings🎉

Thank you for the nice compliment! I haven't been gaming much - I'm actually working on a YA novel for my kids which has eaten up my time, but I'm going to do an updated Phantom Liberty/Cyberpunk 2.0 video, as well as one for Space Marine 2 when it comes out!
You got me with the 60 fps lock haha. Really impressive performance. Thanks for also running things on maxed out settings, I was curious about that. Where's the link to your magnetic ball btw? Hi great vids I had two questions you mentioned you used a ball that splits in half to raise the g14 from the back could you post a link to get it also saw on your other video a pac man gif on your anime matrix where did you get it and how did you apply it through g helper thank you.

On the pac man gif how were u abre to adjust the speed to slow down in g helper.
are you able to try battlefield 2042?
Recommended settings for g14 4090 on performance mode? Can’t get my fps above 45:/

Just bought one today. Pretty blown away by your benchmarks. Just to clarify the processor for you was the Ryzen 9 7940HS? I got the thing on sale from £3000 to £2299

Yup! Again, my biggest surprise was the lack of impact disabling cpu boost had on the games I played, aside from dropping temps 20 degrees.
