And seemingly we are the few that love it for what it is. No solo, and love the "tin pot" of a snare. It's supposed to be messy, like how Metallica first started out. Garage sounding-ass music. Natural and raw.

If the whole album sounded like this then I wouldn't pretend it doesn't exist. You guys should cover the whole album, kinda like how Dream Theater did with Master of Puppets.

Wiseman once said, because this song was originally released by metallica, it got backlashes from top to down, but if some unknown band released it, pretty sure it will become their breakthrough… this shows how powerful metallica are

"Chains anchor down my neck " is a brilliant lyric (like a wordplay almost because of how similar it sounds to "Saint anger round my neck") that I could visualize Hetfield himself writing. And now I wish he had and I'll sing this whenever I hear the original.

I only know this cover by accidental discovery, but it's a discovery I'm happy to have made. I read an article about why this was made, and how this song was their introduction to Metallica, and in some ways, it was mine as well. To this day, the St. Anger album is an album I can't help but have a soft spot for, despite the glaring issues it can have, so seeing you not only covering the title song, but adding your own touch to make it your own I think is really cool, and I believe the Bay Giants would be proud. Keep thrashing!

Unfortunately, not many other people even gave it a chance, so I always felt kinda alone in liking it as much as I did. I gave it a chance! I really did MetallicA is the only band that doesn't (didn't) have a song that I hate or even that don't like. I have never pressed skip on a MetallicA song. Load/reload even gave me a new appreciation for pop rock and music in general St anger changed all that!! It didn't have any of the attributes that made MetallicA MetallicA They were a completely new band to me! You made that song sound the way it should have originally Your version is the MetallicA version MetallicA sounds like the cover band It's hard to get that sound right, so much that MetallicA can't seem to get it anymore I have missed the MetallicA sound Thnx for bringing it back! 🤘 RockoN 🤘
