I Said back in 08 or 09 about cutting pins for joints on the tank and someone said it wouldn't work haha.

Between these 2 models, which one is a better figure to play and pose?

The figures are pretty equal in playability and posability.

Your awesome dude, this really helped me, I used a different tool but similar idea, I had one question though, hope you don’t mind, so you’ve taken it apart and let’s say you’ve done your mods and your ready to put it all together, what glue are you using to out the torso back together?

Not familiar with that one specifically but I’m gonna go look for it but I know the idea I’ll try with a toothpick, thanks

Man I just use g.i. Eddie's way and wrap it in a sock and put it in a table vice. Seconds later you habe a cracked torso and already onto putting things together. The way I did before that was black of oak floor and rubber mallet. Both safest and most successful way of cracking torsos.

No worries. I didn’t know what they were called till someone told me. They do have several names; reverse pliers and snap pliers are the most common. Any time I have issues I go with the good ol’ boil and pop method. Warm up some water. Drop the two parts in for a minute or so. They should pop together.

@@unitruth it depends on which figure. They’ve had several running changes on the basic MTF line and the WWII line is very different

They line had got low quality after they turned to the black packages

I have taken to using a Keurig coffee maker with no pod in it to get my hot water. It only takes a seconds to heat up and fill a metal cup. Also, I found that submerging the parts in water is more effective than applied, heated air because that is heating the parts from the surface where the joints aren’t located. With hot water submersion, the water penetrates to heat everywhere it touches. Doing it any other way is WRONG and STOOPID!!! Jk

We don’t drink coffee so no coffee maker (I know sacrilege). But like you said water gets into the joint area. Plus it helps clean the part. So for me water will always be the way

@@sgcaperscustoms9932 LOL We don't drink coffee either, but my wife uses a coffee pot to brew tea. They pretty well steam and put out hot water instantly. Could be a faster way than boiling water & the Keurig coffee makers allow you to make a set amount. Could be worth the investment for faster hot water at a controlled amount. Unless you use a microwave & then, well, that tends to work fast too. LOL

I don't think I will ever understand fussing at somebody and telling people they are "doing it wrong." Hot water vs hair dryer vs heat gun...poatoes pahtahtoes. If it works, it works, & nobody has to even give a reason why they do it a particular way. When I watch you use a scalpel, I live in fear of seeing blood spurt the camera, but if you're comfortable using the tool, more power to you. I hit bone with a razor blade one day. Now that day, I was doing it wrong. LOL

I agree. Yeah every time I use the blade I think, we’ll this video might not be posted. But yeah at the end of the day I’m comfortable enough and familiar enough with the tool to use it.

@@sgcaperscustoms9932 Don't blame you. I meant to ask, though, how compatible are the parts between those 2 figures? Could everything be made to switch between the figures or are there parts that just wont work? I noticed some of the joint pegs like the hands seem longer on 1 & shorter on the other, but could they still be made to work? Would it be worth the work?
