2 possible solutions for the 460 Gran Torino. 1969 Mustang hood scoop. Do like your shop does when customers want a Coyote engine in their 1965 restomod : lower the engine mounts to the bottom of the frame. 351C, Coyote, 5.2 Predator are also great options

When we were kids in 60s, 70s we had to learn from dad or what a shop told us, we didn't have YT and endless sources for info they do now. It's crazy to think someone can build an engine and not understand thousands of an inch & Millimeters make all the difference in tolerances. I'm at the part of the rear seal, Nicks garage just took in a 440 build I think the guy replaces rear seal 7 times, shipped it to Nicks, a top mopar mechanic, even he went through heck figuring it out it was the out of round crank too. That Torino probably smoked like heck that gap in piston walls if it ran, rings wouldn't have sealed the oil.

Dan, wouldn't it be simpler to deliver your show via KZread? I'm a retired NY ad agency media director....been out of the business for a while now....but looking for distribution through various networks seems like a more difficult and complex path. Particularly so, given the struggle all networks face in achieving profitability. Middlemen, contractual obligations, deadlines, meetings....one of the opportunities in today's media landscape is to bypass all that. A stream of short segments, 20 minutes or so, each dwelling on a single issue would be a winning recipe. Car enthusiasts already know you and that gives you a head start. Given your mention of self-sufficiency, why not?

You make a point, but the crew filming the content and the crew in front of the cameras have this crazy need to pay their bills and feed their families. KZread doesn't afford us that luxury - yet!

Great Job Dan... That Torino brings back memories. When I started wrenching out oil and other repairs on just about everything on the road in the mid '80's, I think every Ford on the road back then had some form of a leaking rear-main-seal... It was just a normal thing for any engine with that crappy rope-seal. IMHO, That 460 is a ships anchor under the hood of that Torino. Torino much happier with supercharged stroked small-block under hood.

Why is Dan so hyper?. And how long, and how much would it cost to fab that Corvette piece up from scratch?, and don't tell me you couldn't do it. A decent metal fabricator should be able to replicate one.
