It means she doesn't need to be in a cult to understand the world/find meaning in it. She says she is alone and she is complete, where she finds her own morals through her own agency. "I am a wolf, I'm a bat a butterfly in disguise" sums it up, she was made to carry out the cults belief when she really was an innocent and kind person in the end and didn't realise she was doing the bidding of the cult.

の親マクマナマン 人間が滅んだ後に宝石の体を持つ人型の生物が生まれ、月の人に攫われないように戦ったりする漫画です。 独特な世界観と神聖さ、あと細かい設定背景などMiliとは相性がとても良さそうだと思います！ 漫画は勿論おすすめしますが、アニメ化が去年大成功だったのでよかったら見てください。

After all this time it finally hit me why "we worship a moon that stole its light from the sun" feels like an especially powerful line. The song is full of suggestions that its about an ex-cultist, and most real world cults exist to steal from their followers. The unconscious irony of a cult that exists to let its leaders be successful through the efforts of others hinting at its own nature by worshipping something that only shines because of the 'efforts' of something else is a truly poetic metaphor that sets the tone and subject of the entire song in the space of a single sentence.

So, here is my Interpretation: I think, this is about someone in a religious cult, who didn't believe the things, the cult preached. "Isn't it funny, we worship..." and "hear that? Believers they speak oink oink". So, she is making fun of the believes the cult preaches, so she obviously doesn't believe in these things. "Like how I was so naiv" may imply, that she used to believe these things, too and thinks, she was naiv herself. Or the believers say that about her, 'cause she doesn't believe in their religion or cult. "When will it be my turn" means, that she doesn't want to be in this cult and do her own thing, but can't. "Im not just some tragic victim" -> victim, because she is trapped in the cult, like I wrote before. "when will I learn" may mean, that she wants to know things outside from the cult. Many cults deny information and don't tell their members, especially their children, certain things. So, maybe she is pretty young, probably a Teenager and started to think for herself. "How many bridges do I have to burn?" Bridges connect things. So she asks, how many connections she has to cut. These are personal connections to the members of the cult. "Isn't it pretty? All my life, all my poetry leaving me" I think, this means, that she used to believe, like the others in the cult and acted accordingly. Since she now changed her believes, she has to leave her life and accomplishments behind, because she saw, that it was wrong. "And the angles sing, surrounding me, put me to sleep" Since this was a weak spot (leaving her life behind), the members of the cult could catch her and tryed to lead her back to their beliefs. Angles being the cultmembers and sleeping is believing in fake things. "Then it dawned on me, that all i wanted was an approval that you're never willing to give" She was still connected to the cultmembers due to her growing up in this cult. So she wanted they on her side; have their approval. But since she doesn't share the believe of the cult any more, she wont get it. In the end, she decides to move on with her own believes and denys the believes of the cult. (there is no line for this, but the song moves on like it was like it) "Hate to admit, I've done it all for you" Again, this implies, that she was a believer for a long time, too and isn't proud of it. "I am a wolf, I'm a crow, I'm a bat. A butterfly in disguise" Tbh I'm not sure, what that means. Maybe it means, that she doesn't act like she's feeling. "I'm in the air, in the sea, in the moment. I'm in you, in me." this is hard as well. She refers to being omnipresent, which is a godly power. Meaning, that she feels strong and that she can cope her situation. The last part of this "I'm in you, in me" may also mean, that she knows both situations: hers and the situation of a cultmember arguing against a non-believer. I already covered this part. "It's just me in this world" means, that she is the only one in this cult to question their believes and due to her not being able to connect with the outside world (because of the strict rules of the cult) she is alone. "I'm alone" same as the line before^ "I'm complete" despite being alone, she feels like she got something right (questioning her believes and neglecting them). So, she feels more knowledgeable than the others. Also, like I said earlier, she is strong. "Still waiting for my turn" she still is not able to act like she wants (leaving the cult) "Eventhough I'm outnumbered" the rest of the members still believe like before. They are her enemys here and are more than she is. (she is alone against an entire cult^^) "You have me torn" She is clearly in an bad situation. She is against her own cult. And what do cults when their own people, especially children and teens develop other believes? Correct, they punish them. Using violence, they achieve the exact opposite of what they wanted to achieve. She now is even more convinced that the cult is bad and their believes are wrong. "Can't remember who I was before" Before, she believed in the cult she now despises. So, she don't know/understands her past-me any more. Edit: the picture also underlines her being strong and giving her power. It is from the worm's eye view and she is standing on a pile of skulls. This is a typical position for people/things with power. Also the blood-drained sword might imply, that she is fighting her way out of the cult. The animals are referring to the line in which they are mentioned. Her mimik and posuture also lets her look evil and satanic. This view is from the cult on her. Their bielievs are attacked, so they view her as evil. The background, a hall which has a similar structure to those in churches and cathedrals and has pictures of what seems to be a guy having a gloriole. This supports my thesis, that this is a religious cult or a religion. What do you think about this Idea?

This is a pretty interesting theory. Though I want to add if it is any significance: The line "When will I learn" can a derivative of "When will you learn". This could mean self-appraisal of a mistake she knows she has encountered several times before yet fails to make the appropriate decision, even when logically she knows the incorrect choices.

the lines im a "I am a wolf, I'm a crow, I'm a bat. A butterfly in disguise" refers to how she saw herself as evil/cursed/darkness but over time she came to see herself as "growing up and breaking free from those beliefs".

I am utterly in love with her voice. I can't tell if there is any auto-tune used on it, of it's natural but if they do auto-tune it is so amazingly well done.

I'm pretty sure there is some degree of autotuning for their songs, but it's very subtle. I love MomoCashew's vocals

edit (9/3/2022) why did i write this my thought of the story (my language skill is bad so please understand) i think the story of this song is about someone who can't express their thoughts and forced to agree to anything that is stated by someone who might be stronger than them (like a leader). and the narrator was treated like anything the leader want to be and must do anything the leader want, but then something happened to the narrator's family that was caused by the leader, but the leader denied about it when people asked about it, the leader even fake a story of it. the narrator who knew about it was angry and now was sick of the leader and do bad things, but the narrator also can't do harm to the leader because they might be related. so in order to gain revenge, the narrator tried to 'backstab' the leader by destroying all the thing the leader have worked hard on, but without the leader knowledge. the leader also had the same reaction like the narrator's when they know that their family is dead. in the end, the two of them was the same after all, they are just waiting time to be their turn to crush one another, even when they know it was bad they still can't stop doing it, and the two of them are know just someone that can't think of anything else than hating each other, even to the point they forgot how to act other than just to hate each other. it's like hating with passion

I really love how Mili sings songs, as if she's telling us bedtime stories. It's just another song, is what non Mili listeners would normally think, but to us who've listen to her works countless times, we know she's a singer capable of telling us a fairy tale like stories.

Honestly this song reminds me of To Your Eternity, which is about an immortal who was born as a "light" in the world and when things nearby it dies, he is able to take their form and the first living thing form its gotten was a wolf and the lyrics " I am a wolf" made me think of that manga more. "When will it be my turn" also sounds like something happened to everyone else except them which made it more similar to the manga as Immortals don't die but everyone else around them do. (there's more lyrics that relate to it but I don't wanna spoil it, it's a really good manga so you guys should check it out)
