In the manga this is a bit diferent, there, Zamasu, after being cut simply multiplies into a army, and when Goku summons Zeno, every Zamasu present looks at horror and some even run away as soon as they see him. Really shows, even for someone with that big of a god complex, Zamasu does not even dare to go against Zeno

It was always Goku's innocent demeanor, this child-like behavior, that was what Zeno liked about him. It's what the entire Dragonball saga has pushed, that even as Goku goes through all these trials, he's still a child at heart. Since Zeno is also essentially a child (albeit an infinitely powerful one), this likely is what drew them together in the first place. Here, in this timeline, Zeno likely saw the same things in Goku that the prime timeline Zeno saw, and so gave him a chance to explain himself.

During that war, people, especially the two children, developed a very special relationship with Trunks, they have a unique shared experiences. So in short, people on the timeline where Trunks and Mai went, are not the same people that Trunks and Mai had loved. It doesn't matter if that's one or more years before. In real life, people of one year ago is very different to what they are now.

Modern Yin Zenos and Grand Minister are outside of the multiverses, but still exist in specific timeline, as Goku said “Zeno sama of this world”, it actually means Zeno of that timeline Future Trunk came frome, after the universe in that timeline was completely erased as u see in the clip, Goku traveled back to the messy universe and bring that Zeno to befriend with the Zeno of his own timeline

Future Zeno had to erased the entire future multiverse to kill him. Infinite Zamasu became the entire Future multiverse in seconds. Then he started to infected all the timeliness. This arc just kept getting darker.

The fact that this gave me trypophobia, the writers did very well to showcase how virulent and poisonous Zamasu is.

Even with deathless ability, Zamas still couldn't kill Beerus since Beerus still could have erased him. But Zamas killed all Kaioshin first, thus Beerus was also dead, and Whis hence lost his power until the next god of destruction appears. By this way, Zamas could truly kill all gods of 12 universes

I dunno, it kinda makes Zeno look like he over reacted. He could have erased each Zamasu. Instead he wiped out the universe. At least in the anime Zeno had no choice but to erased EVERYTHING due to the corruption Zamasu caused.
