Future Healthcare Profits To Be $513B Per Year

Ойын-сауық

McKinsey Report on the Future of US Healthcare Profits.
Consulting firm McKinsey has released a report entitled "The Future of US Healthcare."
The report focuses on 4 areas of future profits for healthcare companies in 2025:
1) Insurance Carriers - $57B in annual profit from growth in the Government Programs of Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid.
2) Pharmacy Services/PBMs - $62B in annual profit from growth in specialty pharmacy and infusions.
3) Services and Software - $68B in annual profit from growth in revenue cycle and software.
4) Providers - $326B from growth in outpatient services.
These 4 areas total $513B in healthcare profit per year by 2025. That's $1,545 in profit for every person in America.
Interestingly, these future profit areas are exactly the strategic focus of UnitedHealth Group... which is so big, it essentially IS the US Healthcare System.
Either McKinsey is parroting United's strategy or United is following McKinsey strategy. Who knows?!

"United Health Group charges hospitals to collect the money from itself, what a great idea!" 🤣 you had me laughing at that point

Dr. Bricker: I absolutely love watching your videos. I am a law student with an interest in healthcare law. Last year I took a class on health case business and I was so damn unbelievably complicated. I got really interested in trying to figure it out and I've currently been binge watching your videos. Thank you for what you do and please don't stop!

Great video Dr Bricker. UHG is the real giant in healthcare. They own every type of healthcare company in their portfolio except, ironically, a hospital. I’m pretty sure they see a hospital as a public utility as opposed to a profit center.

It makes the recent (last 6-8 months or so) insider selling of UHG even more perplexing.... The CEO, Mr. Witty, sold quite a few shares towards the end of 2022. I think around 3 or 6 million worth but I'd have to check again. Could be a coincidence and maybe their outlook is great but it has made me wary of investing more in what otherwise looks like a great, currently undervalued company. *End rant* Great explanatory video, as usual, Dr. Bricker!

Hi Dr. Eric, first and foremost, thanks for the video and great explanation. I have been watching and learning a little lot through your videos. I am a fan! Having said that, as exited and engaged I was up to trick 4 and part trick 5, I felt sad today as you got towards the end of trick 5 explanation. It became more and f a political talk and trying to to prove one president right and another wrong. Rather then keeping the politics out of this and just focusing on all audience Anyways, it was sad and painful to see that on the channel you admire and care to learn a lot from. So thought I share it here.

Why would a family pay 28000 for a child's share in the hc system Or to rephrase why are children part of this payment system and do they really need such a steep share?

Great question. It is the overall healthcare industry profit per person per year multiplied by the 18 years of a person’s childhood. Thank you for watching.
