Got a question. With the timers for a speedrun, are they already setup or do you have to input each zone you speedrun?

If I had a nickel for every underrated sixth generation 3D platformer licensed off of a popular 1999 animated TV show, that came out in 2003, and that inexplicably became a challenging and popular speed game, I’d have two nickles. It’s not that many, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

I was such a beast at this as a kid, I can't believe how small the district level looks now i remember it felt so huge and like I was actually in the futurama universe

There were cheats? I was stuck on one of the last mission where you had to navigate through mom's factory, couldn't get past, eventually gave up :((

@@MrMickelham I would have been around the same age, maybe 10, this was around 2012-13 when I played it, got it second hand at a pawnshop, bad and great memories, especially the zoidburg running level, I died on that level so much I could eventually do it with my eyes closed, but still this game was the fuel for my anger

I thought I was trippin😅 there were a few cuts where he was ahead but the time didn’t pass

I loved this game as a kid and I still love it today. Aside from some parts being hard as balls, esspecially for a kid It is an underrated gem. I remember the happiness I felt after beating the game and seeing the credits.

This takes me back! One of my favourites as a kid! Great video!

I never knew that this game existed, but now I've gotta check it out. I loved Futurama back in the day. Congratulations on a clutch run, Easy. Great job.

I only knew of this game because of the infamous Easter Egg that took YEARS to activate legitimately.

i was live for the first practise stream. very cool to see the final run as well, hope to see more like this in the future

That Zoidberg level murdered my playthrough of this game. Just cant get through that stage

Out of all the adult cartoons Futurama is by far my favorite

I remember playing this when I was 8 and I was never able to get past the first level where you have to find all the tools.

I've seen LiquidWifi speedrun this game. It looks pretty difficult, especially the tricks. It was pretty cool to see you attempt this game. Would you say Liquid has competition 😏

I remember hearing about this game a few years ago cause an undiscovered easter egg was found

I got stuck at moms factory as fry. An auto save kept reloading me falling into a floor trap. Had to restart the entire game.....

I'm sure I was going to be interested because I rented/borrowed this game so many years ago but thanks for the introduction at the beginning and edits at the end. Really made it worth watching beyond the initial curiosity. I actually remember beating the game, but not how tough it was casually since it wasn't Jak 2 levels. Sorta miss that even if it may make speedruns stressful.

I have always been nuts for Futurama and bought this when it came out. It was as close to "playing an episode " that I'd ever seen. It can be hair-pullingly frustrating just playing, can't imagine trying to speed run.

Yeah that Zoidberg level is straight off the warthog levels in Crash Bandicoot.

As a kid a remember being stuck on the sun god boss for over 2 years and the only way my sister and I figured out how to beat it was being told what to do by some random kids we were chatting too on a bus trip which seems insane looking back at how obscure the game is but never the less it took 3 years for us to beat and I tried playing it last year and beat the entire game in a few hours

I had this game as a kid, back in 2009, and sold it to a gamestop because i couldnt beat it. Wish i still had it cause im a massive fan of the show

I've had this game since it came out all the way back in 2003 and I've always thought about getting into speedrunning it but was never certain if it had an actual audience. This game is great and really underrated.

Gonna throw it out there--I remember seeing a mention of a partially discovered easter egg from this game that, at least at the time, no one had figured out how to properly access. Not sure if that's changed.

Yeah people finally managed to access the literal giant Easter egg properly a few years back I think

I remember playing this as a kid on my hand-me-down ps2, I was like 7-8 at the time and couldn't get past the second level because I couldn't figure out the gun lmao

That was solid as hell. I specifically remember as a kid the sewer levels pissed me off so much I slammed my controller not thinking and literally slammed it on the top of my foot. Got a solid stinger, lost a controller, AND got my console taken away for about 2-3 weeks😂 good times, somewhat

@@EZScapeSpeedruns this game seems to be lacking in solid documentation of its secrets, but one of leela's levels has a hidden mario inspired power up that makes her significantly more powerful. I know I saw it in use during early 2020 when I was interested in this game, but haven't kept up with its routing evolution. I literally can't find anything that references it now though, other than a speedrun where the runner offhandedly mentions it

Never even heard of this game before

Loved playing & beating the xbox version. No idea why they started the game with the fry section being as hard as it is. Besides the much later leela level with the lava its not too difficult.

I thought i had watched every episode of futurama, but if this is the 73rd episode, i should probably either get the game or watch someone play it to see all the episodes

I remember this game, on the Xbox.... I don't think I made it past the level on the sun...

this was the first game I ever thought was bad, I didn't think games could be bad before then. I was like 11.

This looks like a painful game to speedrun. It's got that early 2000's difficulty spike going on.
