I feel like ST is so under utilized, so this was good to see. I’m strictly an offline player, so my only guess as to why is due to the lack of AoE. NOD and BH have flame tanks, GDI and ZOCOM have Shatterers, but ST has... the Behemoth, and that’s it. Otherwise you have to build a crap ton of Titans.

Seeing the armoured lines of Steel Talons and GDI clash against one another in the final, all deciding battle of the Series was one of the greatest moments in E-Sports to date

That engagement at 1:40:45 is beautiful!

Great cast. Great to hear it again. Game came out in 2008 and still looks gorgeous. Even EA can't kill Kanes Wrath. Such a good game with a better community.

DuneTiger & senna were such a great team, an absolute delight to watch work together! I would love to see them more often in 2v2 comps

I legitimately didn’t know who to cheer for, I love the performance of each player in these sets.

At 1:29:28, the area mind control did not last long because the nearby cultist re-captured the tripods. Mind controlling the mind controlled unit will cancel the initial mind control, returning the unit to the original owner. There was a replay many years ago with I think masterleaf and maybe Unleashed (not sure) that had two Trav players controlling each others mechapedes back and forth for the duration of the entire match, everyone only had mechas and cultists and kept controlling the mechas back and forth, it was crazy.

Ever since I became homeless and lost just about everything but my cell phone and car. C&C replays have helped me get through the hellish experience of living outside with limited resources. I can wait to have a stable place someday where I can rebuild another gaming PC so I can play C&C once again.

Damn, Reaper-17 must be considered some pretty hot garbage. Finals went for all 9 games and every one of them featured multiple Traveler or Scrin, but not a single showing of Reaper. Marked of Kane and Black Hand also not showing up much.

I agree. Even with Scrin being so highly celebrated in this patch there's no Reaper? Particularly strange seeing as there was a lot of vanilla Scrin. I'm just wrapped we got to see so much Steel Talons.

Reaper is a meh faction imo. But I play vanilla. Black Hand is downright broken.

Late game Senna is scary! Senna definitely has the best macro in the world!

despite the desert map being barren i actually quite liked it :) its a good style.

I'm no professional player but I suppose I can help you out in some ways. For build orders I'm sure that there's plenty online if you look hard enough. I have my own style but its not a competitive build order so don't take advice from me. And for the harver/ref ratio I would say 5 harver per 2 ref is a good spot. You can also push for a better ratio which is 7 harver per 3 reff if you have enough cash

Standard build order is pp, rax for engineers (and scouts, but you can also sell towers to get them. Tower sells are worth it if you are a GDI faction or Black Hand, maybe MoK. With other factions it costs less to build them from rax), ref, wf, ref and then either another pp and expand or expand on low power. In terms of harvesters, I build 4-5 from my wf, so I have 8-9 in total (4 from refs on my main and expansion fields). Don't forget to pause your second wf harvester if necessary so your second ref won't be stalled.

“Why doesn’t anyone build growth accelerators?” I’m more confused on why nobody captures defensive towers, especially when fighting say.. NOD or GDI where you’re expecting a lot of light vehicle harassment into tanks (bike/buggy, pitbull/APC into scorp/preds), those towers do some decent damage too.

They do capture them. Very common to capture them on Tournament Odyssey. Part of it is probably how familiar people are with the map and the position of the towers.

Do the updates 1.02+ etc come from Mod db?

I’m pretty sure it’s still at 30 FPS. As far as I’m aware it’s not possible to run tib wars on more than 30 FPS
