Fusing External With Internal - Kung Fu Report
Спорт
Today we will look at the idea of using internal with external energy to allow for taking/stealing the balance of an opponent. This opens them up for many follow-up attacks.

Poor Chris ; great seesion! 🙏
0:41 pure gold! 1:07 in and out 3:08 inside outside.
Real one right here. I like how you point out what other masters teach because it looks better. When there's a much more simple way to deal with incoming attacks saving energy and time, by feeling.

But feeling requires some training or a lot of it. Often, a lot of it 😰
Travelling without moving; moving without thinking...
Poor Chris lol! 😂😂😂👍

Very good!! 🔥
External + internal, always, sifu
i love your videos. you see movements at YOUR speed. i'm old and slow. when you demonstrate, the significant movements happen too fast for me to follow. BUT DON'T SLOW DOWN FOR SLOW-POKES LIKE ME! i enjoy being mystified. keep it up.
Hey Adam, watched a video of Wong Shun Leung. His body integrity was remarkable (everything starts and stops on a literal dime with no apparent effort). That’s one of the things that was remarkable about Bruce Lee as well (phenomenal body integrity). Is this something that was expressly trained in the Ip Man lineage, or was this one of the special characteristics of Wong Shun Leung and Bruce Lee?
damn hakka kung fu can take down a big guy double ur size is amazing man haha
What is the easiest way to practice the internal arts? Every time I try to meditate I end up falling asleep. Not sure if I am doing it wrong or just need to learn meditation.

There’s one video about their podcast where they talk about meditation. From what I remember the best way is to start post training. The reason you fall asleep during meditation is because you’re not used to being relaxed and at ease doing nothing, hence post training where you learn relaxation and such. Apologies for not recalling what the exact title is, but this should point you in the right direction.

Why don't you try using, I don't know, my wu wu is wing chun + plain old good western boxing, and since chi kung was a part of my training, then one was able to meditate and relax while doing siu lim tao. Chum kiu requires much movement, there my sifu integrated boxing stuff, and it was very nice to see how it flows from one to the other, but I digress.. About falling asleep. Maybe you need some rest, and that's why you 😴 zzz Or it's a question of not focusing on your breath or not able yet to do the method of commanding your limbs to relax but not your awareness. And if you fall asleep, why don't you just enjoy it, after that nap, you can try again. After a while, you can sleep, train, travel to the other coast of the States (if you live there and at one coast) 🙃 and being able to sleep or relax in the uncomfortable seats of let's say, a plane and the most affordable class to fit my budget, and I always seem to be more rested than most folks, we are in "first class" but my voice tone is "sarcasm + irony" like 🙃 I have used it many times. You are not asleep, ready to jump into action, that's not possible if one falls asleep. Practice makes master

Internal martial art here is not referring to meditation. Adam already mentioned in the video at the last part that you need to be able to feel your body "motion", the weight/force shifting inside yourself first. Then after you can start to understand other people's force shifting. Hence, then you may practice to manipulate that force. I would recommend trying to perfect your forms by feeling your own body structure allocation first. Then do more sticky hands to different people to gain the feeling of force movement. Feel yourself, feel others, react. 🙏🏼

@@RumCoconut it's because how do you explain it, since after enough practice you develop that sensitivity. Like my nunchakus, I got a lot of bumps and bruises, now I don't even pay attention to it, but I do feel in my arm and change accordingly. It's training. Explaining it doesn't mean ppl would develop it immediately, 🖖
