I don't think it's just about fitness, I would say Usyk is the better technical fighter with a solid amateur background. Fury hasn't fought anyone of his calibre, apart from Steve Cunningham and a very close fight with Klitschko. Fury wins most of his fights through mind games, using his height and reach to his advantage. He may do a Bernard Hopkins and draw Usyk into a boring dull fight of holding, jabbing and grabbing, and doing enough to steal the rounds.

5:24 - Wilder didn't do anything to Fury in the 2nd fight. Totally one-sided. And even in the 1st fight there weren't much punches landed by Wilder. The knockdown in the final round was really the sole meaningful punch by Wilder. I think it's Fury's awful work ethic and neglect of his body that is catching up.

The old adage, 'A good big one will always beat a good little one' is no longer true. There have been several instances over the years where smaller men have beaten bigger opponents. Usyk demonstrated that against Joshua(twice) and last week against Fury. Mike Tyson also beat much bigger opponents. So too did Joe Frazier.

Fury is a guy who hasn't taken much damage throughout his career. He fights just above his level of opposition. Wilder was coming to take his head off, and he was very capable. Fury gave him the beating of a lifetime because it was kill or be killed. He will rise to the occasion against Usyk. He's a gamer and he shines when he's not fighting guys he's expected to destroy. Just watch. Usyk is damn good, but he's going to have a bad night Saturday. Fury is the best of a generation. Ask guys that have sparred or boxed both of them. They all say the same thing. Fury is the best they've ever been in a ring with.

If not for the knockdown in the ninth, Fury wins a split decision on the cards. How some of them had Usyk winning anything between rounds 2-7 is beyond me. You Fury haters can gloat all you want. It wasn't domination by any means. Fury got lazy because he was winning so easily and got caught. Up until then, Usyk couldn't do much.

The well-known reporter Colin Hart has this all wrong. While Colin makes many interesting observations on fights he’s seen over the years, his assessment of Tyson Fury as having become the best HW boxer around in this era cannot be based on Fury’s record, nor on the straightforward observable facts. To begin with, Fury jabbed and ran for a sufficient number of rounds to scrape a points decision when he fought the forty-year-old Klitschko; but Fury ducked the contracted re-match knowing that by then Klitschko had him figured out and would slaughter Fury in the return. Then, Shelley Finkel miscalculated when he matched his fighter Wilder, a one-trick pony with no knowledge of even the rudiments of Boxing, with the then profoundly out-of-shape Fury. Check out Wilder’s record: he’d only fought inexperienced hopefuls, numerous nobodies and men looking for a quick payday whose record shows that they’d been already been KOed multiple times. Finkel’s miscalculation was simply that he overrated Wilder as capable of taking on the Fairground ducker because Fury had been inactive for three years. Even so, Fury had the greatest difficulty in dispatching the stationary target Wilder who still managed to deck him four times in their three fights! Since then, Fury has consistently ducked (i.e., avoided fighting) the best heavyweights in the division, to take on journeymen instead the likes of Otto Wallin, who nevertheless found Fury easy to cope with, cut him up, and gave him a hard fight. Yet compare that with how Joshua dealt with Wallin in five rounds! Fury ducked Anthony Joshua for three years despite Eddie Hearn’s best efforts to match them up, and he was visibly relieved to see Joshua lose to Usyk as Fury now uses that as a pretext not to take a fight with AJ. Nonetheless, Joshua has always had the beating of Fury - and Fury knows it! Fury was floored and only managed to scrape a much-disputed points win against a literally complete boxing novice Francis Ngannou in Francis’s first Boxing match, and Fury dismally went for easy paydays with willing second raters the likes of Chisora and Whyte -- three times each! So, Colin, and my fellow boxing enthusiasts, think very hard before you put your hard-earned cash on Fury this Saturday!
