Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth star in Academy Award-winning mastermind George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” the much-anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the seminal “Mad Max” films. Miller now turns the page again with an all-new original, standalone action adventure that will reveal the origins of the powerhouse character from the multiple Oscar-winning global smash “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The new feature from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures is produced by Miller and his longtime partner, Oscar-nominated producer Doug Mitchell (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Babe”), under their Australian-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner.
As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.
Taylor-Joy stars in the title role, and along with Hemsworth, the film also stars Alyla Browne and Tom Burke.
Miller penned the script with “Mad Max: Fury Road” co-writer Nico Lathouris. Miller’s behind-the-scenes creative team includes first assistant director PJ Voeten and second unit director and stunt coordinator Guy Norris, director of photography Simon Duggan (“Hacksaw Ridge,” “The Great Gatsby”), composer Tom Holkenborg, sound designer Robert Mackenzie, editor Eliot Knapman, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson and colorist Eric Whipp. The team also includes other longtime collaborators: production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, sound mixer Ben Osmo, costume designer Jenny Beavan and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt, each of whom won an Oscar for their work on “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
Warner Bros. Pictures Presents, in Association with Village Roadshow Pictures, A Kennedy Miller Mitchell Production, A George Miller Film, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theaters only nationwide on May 24, 2024 and internationally beginning on 22 May, 2024.

I re watched the previous mad max. There is a few things. This don't have much debri is sand flying around in the atmostphers so the frame seems more clean. Plus the colorr grade also. The back round replacements looks to obvious in this new one so far

I wish they would go less CGI, it just doesn't have that fallen world feel, not to mention all these finely tuned supercharged cars that look great in a fallen world with no more parts being made, its kind of comical lol

So ive been picking apart this Trailer and i have some issues... at 1:35 you can see max's shotgun and ive looked at some discussions on reddit and people seem to say max is in furiosa but the trouble is in mad max fury road furiosa meets max for the first time etc, so if this film is set before fury road and furiosa meets max how does that exactly work? i think it will either ruin the film or distract the audience from furiosa's story. if you know anything or agree with me please reply because iam a bit worried for the film as i want too see it..

@@toowheela2111Fury road had plenty of CGI. But it also benefited from plenty of practical references that made it blend in quite well. VFX got worse because of the COVID-19 pandemic limitations and crunch that affected all major project's workflow. With the way it has impacted the industry and practices, it will take a long time to see it return to "healthy*" state. *even back then, healthy was a stretch for the industry's sake.

Incredible what George Miller brings out to us at 79 years old!!! His 2015 Fury Road had managed the feat of surpassing the first trilogy and this new part is perhaps even more successful... Mad Max is no longer there but Furiosa seems to make him forget without any problem: can't wait to see it !

I want to be excited about this, but the flat CGI is distracting. After the first film's spectacle, the lack of real props and heavy reliance on green screen and CGI effects feels cheap! Pause the trailer in places and you'll see what I mean. CGI can't capture the grit, dirt and weight of the original.
They should've handed this to Tarantino.
It looks like 50% of Fury Road; still enough to crawl from under my stone to get to the cinema !!

That's it, finally seen, and a slap on the big screen! Certainly less brilliant and original than Fury Road, but what fun! George Milller proves once again that he is the absolute master of the action film with breathtaking scenes and always hyper spectacular stunts... The second best Mad Max (even without Max) just behind the incomparable Fury Road, and just ahead of the excellent Mad Max 2

Mad Max 2 came out in 1981. You should go back and watch that. Max got a full trilogy of his own and sort of a 4th film. Furiosa was such a great character that she deserves her own movie. Get out of your insecure little boy brain.

I don’t know, something about the whole look of what we’ve been shown so far just doesn’t feel right. Everything looks much cleaner, too clean cut and doesn’t blend as well with the backgrounds, especially if objects are shown from an extreme wide. It doesn’t really feel like it has that ‘grittiness’ that mad max is usually known for. Effects are quite noticeable here, too. Fury road blended them seamlessly. Not sure about this. I hope I’m wrong. Suppose we’ll see.

I love people who say how can it be a mad max movie without max? Or fury road wasn't enough about max. Have you even seen the older movies? They were not really about max, excluding the first one. He was just some guy. It's about the world not max. Also it's only the trailer, stop saying the CGI looks bad. Once the movie comes out then you can gripe all you want about how bad it is if that's your thing and it turns out bad.
