Thought same thing.. looks like beaver and Western raccoon about the only thing paying

Rusty at Idaho is really needing fur allot of demand from crafter's and bobcat buyer's

Important to remember that quantities are what is on offer, doesn't include the massive surplus inventory in the warehouse

Thanks for posting your analysis. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I see the fur market shutting down for the most part. Countries like Russia and China are on their way out. They are the major fur purchasers. Peter Zeihan has a great channel on KZread about geopolitics and if what he says is right or even close then the writing is on the wall. It’ll be an incredible waste of fur to just toss it away but I feel like that’s were we are headed. I hope I’m completely wrong. Wisdom doesn’t seem to drive activism. Shame.

I've been watching Zeihan as well, Mass Trapper. The demographics in China are scary. Worst part is, the countries with good demographics moving forward do not buy fur!!!

Once they've banned all oil and gas and you can't make synthetic material anymore, we'll have to go back to fur and leather and wool

And the top 1 percent of china's population that bought all the fur aren't the demographic that's disappearing in the country

@@anthonycapuano8554 no but the govt behind those wealthy folks is. Furthermore the demographic that is are the people making fur garments that the wealthy buy. Perhaps this spurs higher prices as garments will be harder to acquire. Still relations between the US and China and Russia are quickly diminishing. So will trade agreements that haven’t already. This will just make it harder to move fur. Like I said I hope I’m wrong.

I would love to think that in the future people will get over this nonsense and see the practical value and conservation value of wearing fur, likely a pipe dream, but who knows. There are a lot of native groups here in Canada that are doing demos and shows in large cities educating people about how buying fur supports native communities in the Arctic. Maybe things will change
