Thanks, no issues with prime fur here... they prime up good and generally have good quality fur.

Nice video Dave. Lots of mink on the go eh. Nice box sets there. See many marten, more or less than previous years? Get any lynx or see much sign. Word is there is a few on the go up your way. Soon be over for another season, and ok too this has been one bad trapping season here in central with all the snow and milds, too much fixing up all the time.

Thanks buddy, yes a lot more marten on the go each year. No cats here though, lots on the south side of the lake. I didn't bother to set out any houses for them here with no sign. Yes it was a difficult season with the weather. Every morning fixing each set gets tiring. Haha

great video; the small game will get a bit of breathing room without all those predators; I really enjoyed the snaring tips and techniques

Thanks, my batteries are doing well, one of my L16 AGM is a little weaker than the other 3, but I do equalize them frequently when I can. Not a lot of sun in a few months, but the days are getting longer now.

hello, what is the best way to encourage marten to fall into the trap?

Through personal experience from many years ago... Visual of the bait will help. With marten being part of the cat family, they don't mind pouncing, even upward towards the bait in the set. A marten box set vertically with the bait at the top also keeps everything in order and no snow or ice buildup. So having the 120 connibear on the bottom with the bait above it will work effectively. Use of a good marten lure will bring them to the box, the bait will then act as the incentive for the cat to get to the bait.
