Before, I thought chihuahua’s were annoying little ankle biters. But after rescuing two chihuahuas, they are truly amazing and loyal dogs. They also make great watch dogs.

Absolutely. I love them because they are so "handsy" and vocal. They learn to talk to you and tell you what they want, and they are so alert. Mine woke me up when a burglar had broken into the house and prevented a robbery. She's a little hero.

@LN LN - anyone who owns a chihuahua or chihuahuas are just as dumb as the breed itself. DUMB dogs equals DUMB people, it’s that simple. Whenever I see one, I just want to pick it up and see how far I can throw it.

Rehomed a Chihuahua. He is the love of my life and absolutely the cutest and sweetest being I have come across. Chi's really have an undeserved reputation.

They are just spicy little balls of fluff. Some may be like a ghost pepper, others are like a jalapeño or bell pepper. If they've chose you as their person, they will do anything in their power to get you to love them

The chihuahua at 1:06 using its front paws to wave and beg... that's exactly how our Oreo picked us! We had her for 18 wonderful years. Rest In Peace, sweet girl...

Thank you for posting a video showing how sweet and fun Chi's can be! Most videos labeled "cute chihuahuas" just shows people antagonizing them to make them look aggressive. There is such a sweet side to these loveable dogs and this video shows that - much appreciated!!!

I have a rescue who is part chihuahua. I did not choose for his breed. I just wanted a small dog. Once he realised I wasn't going to abuse him, he blossomed into the sweetest dog. Affectionate, considerate, loving, an all-round good dog. All dogs are good dogs when treated right

That's well said, and true. I'm 67 and I got my very first dog - my black Chihuahua - two years ago, and I have never known such love in my life - both the love she gives me and the love I feel for her.

From my experience with chihuahua's, they are some of the most loving, protective and intelligent dogs that I have ever had. I have pomeranians now, and they're definitely not as smart, but they like to snuggle.❤

I have two Pomeranians and one Chihuahua! And a cat, can’t forget her. My Poms love to be in my lap, but they don’t like to cuddle - and that’s where our chihuahua comes in lol. She is the biggest snuggle bug!

Everyone who comes over tells us how sweet they are. ❤️ One Pom (the oldest one) isn’t crazy about the Chihuahua, but she has bonded with the other Pom, who is 3 times her size. They wrestle and play all day and he is so gentle with her. He’s a big Pom at about 15 pounds and she’s about 5 pounds!

Chichis have very large brains relative to their size. Our boy was very smart and a very good communicator.

I was never a fan of chihuahuas until I started noticing my neighbors walking theirs (Oscar). Well, it was more like Oscar taking my neighbor for a walk… a looong walk. Little guy would go go go until he was exhausted and had to be carried home. But by that time he had covered at least a mile. And then a couple of my friends adopted dogs that are part chihuahua (and they are wonderful dogs!).

Indeed they are. I got my first ever dogs, chihuahuas, when my husband died 17 years ago. The thing is they are as real a dog as any big dog, they are brave and endlessly enterraining. And portable 🧳

Thank you for making a compilation with happy chihuahuas in it! I never owned one, but I am a cat lover and just like with cats, I see too many videos of people how antagonise their chihuahua because they think it's funny, making the poor lil guys anxious and distrustful.

I’ve seen some mean ones and some really sweet ones. I’ve always wanted one, but my husband had the stereotype in his mind. Well, one day I applied for one online from a local pet shelter, thinking I had no chance because she was a puppy and I was sure she’d have lots of applications. To my delight, I was the one they let have her! My husband was out of town at the time and when I told him, he just kind of grumbled about it. The next day after he got home, he informed me he was already attached to her! He baby talks to her and everything. She is very sweet!!

Yes they are so protective and fearless! Mine will try to defend me from the biggest dogs even though she doesn’t need to. I have to jump in and stop her to remind her it’s all good baby! I can take care of myself!

Oh my goodness these are so funny, I love the first one it looks as if it knows all the secrets of the universe.

I didn't think I'd like Chi's but we adopted 2 older chi's & fell in love with them. Later we bought a Female Chi puppy who grew up with our kitten. The cat thought he was a dog! He was more than twice as big when they were grown. So sweet & funny! our Female had 3 puppies! I would love to do it all over again!

I never liked chihuahuas until I was forced to have my first one. They're loud, vicious, and selfish dogs.....they're adorable.

Eddie, I've had several Chihuahuas over many years and not a single one was vicious. It is all how you treat and train them. But that goes with any of the many breads of dogs, pure or mixed. Even cats.

Eddie Rivera 🤗Quite the opposite in my experience: My chihuahuas have all been gentle, sweet, smart, sensitive, caring souls, & an amazing blessing & inspiration to me. They have a sense of humor and like to play. I love them and appreciate them deeply. When they go to the Rainbow Bridge, I am devastated. I miss them so much. They are such beautiful souls. We got our Tallee Blu at 8 weeks. She will be 3 in February. I’ve owned many other breeds & will never own any other then a chihuahua again. I love her so much and she is unlike any other breed.

Does anyone else have one of those little dogs when after you make your bed, come into your room later to find pillows thrown onto floor and the covers pulled back and almost on the floor? Lol!
