The original and still the best Jungle Pam Hardy she wasn’t just a back up girl she was a crew member and helped jungle work on the car the good old days of barnstorming match racing

These nostalgic funny cars don't have 11,000 hp and go 330+ mph, but they are WAY badder looking than our current "cookie cutter" cars. These LOOK like hot rods!! The only thing (besides these) with as much "cool" factor are some of the Pro Mods. Great video!😎👍

Funny story ,My dad n I ran a altered in the late 70s/80s ,,,Mom made one rule for us ! No back up girls ! Hell that was a big reason we got the car !

Those cars displayed some of the most finest rear ends and those big beautiful bouncing rubber tires!!! You'd think I was watching something else.

Jungle Pam had her time( which was great), but now it's time for these girls . Of which , are pretty damn good themselves. Some better than others.

What people fail to realize is if you have ever done a track walk... the race surface is super tacky and will just about pull your shoes off. These girls are running in high heels on that.

When I was a youngster 70’s and beginning of the 80’s, there weren’t any chicks that helped the funny cars/dragsters in reverse. I went all the time and it just wasn’t a thing…it gives females something to do at a drag strip. Back in the years I mentioned, there was only one female that drag raced (to my recollection) and that was Shirley “Cha Cha” Muldowney. I enjoyed meeting all those cool dudes… Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, Don Garlits, Mickey Thompson, Connie Kalitta and others. If you asked me to name a current driver, I would be lossteure as $hit! 👊🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

Because the way its going, the sport will be dead in a few years. And no,I don't want what Garlits is cooking up!

I suspect that's why so many wear full boots. As a photographer I've certainly had my shoes stripped off on-track.

Need a much closer examination of some of those ladies, for sure. Correct me if I'm wrong, but some of the races were 1/8 mile. Finishing at 3.8 sec and 160 on a fairly clean run does not equal a 1/4 mile.

You’re trying to focus on that 5,000 horsepower strapped less than a foot from your balls and you have T&A bouncing in front of you.

I don't get how women can run in those heels!

I was writing something similar about the quality of the leaner mixtures back in the 70s but I must have used some banned terms to describe the late models with wide bodies so youtube shut me down!

Agree. The friction involved in the lower end has to be severe. Balancing the weight upfront would improve performance.

I'm noticing a correlation between the length of the burnouts and backing speed to...

,,,,,,all about all,,,,,,,,,,,,Jungle Pam Hardy created the role....And created a new era where every top racer had his girl as a back -up girl...................Fast forward to this present day.........Nitro funny car racer , Jeff Diell ; is one lucky man in my eyes ; as His wife Lizza , is the hottest babe seen ; running down the tacky strip to line up her husbands car in the desired spot......Too Hot.......
