He was a favourite of children for decades. I grew up with his voice narrating the The Wombles & many other programmes. He was in films too. Sorely missed but not forgotten. 😢

@@mriwhite4309 Ahhh, now I get it, thank you. If I remember correctly, a man was spotted near the ‘roof’ starting the fire. I normally get every joke, that one stumped me though.
