I love German Shepherds. They are the most beautiful most intelligent dogs ever. But dear God do they break your heart when they leave you. The last one we had, during the end of her life, hadn't gotten up for 4 days straight. something with her spine. on the morning she died I was leaving for school. As I was about to leave, she had dragged herself up from the bed she had been laying in for those days. I patted her on the head and said "see you tonight, good girl" and left. She knew she was dying, and she made sure I wasn't around for it, and she made sure she said goodbye to me. She died September 21, 2011, and thinking about that still brings tears to my eyes, to this very day

My GSD knows the names of everyone in the family if you ask her to look for them, how to open the garage door(She jumps up and slaps the button), how to give high fives along with many other tricks. They are so smart and loyal.

The German Shepherds I have met have indeed all been intelligent. I am sorry for your loss. I hope time will eventually reduce the sadness. Perhaps adopt a homeless German Shepherd? It may make you feel better, and you will saving a life.

It’s because of those big ears,

I love German Shepherds. We have an almost 3 year old pure German Shepherd at home called Max, and he is the most sweetest dog ever. Seriously, when they just look at you with those cute faces and those big watery eyes, you just crave instantly. They're also very smart... sometimes. Though that's debatable about Max. I love my puppy.

Grew up with 2 separate G.Shepereds and they are just one of the most loving and cuddly dogs you can ever have, once i got the time/economy/place for it, i will get me an army of sheperds and live in paradise

The last one made me lol.

I love it when the GS tilts it's head side to side when it's curious.

German Shepards are so intelligent and beautiful! I miss mine so bad. Love you Ginger, Cindy, and Mac Gregor.

Sometimes when my German Shepherd is asleep his paws start to wiggle and so do his ears, lol. He dreams about running through the garden 😍😂

Thank you for this Video. My friend had a GSD trained to protect her. He barely tolerated me, an was never shy about voicing his displeasure with a low growl. Ajax. I loved how he didn't like me.

I so miss the one i had ca 15 years ago. He was like a little brother that happily volunteered to any mischief.

I thought both my GSD were whack now I see similar behaviours in all these lol such sweet dogs

Every single German Shepherd I've met were and are so sweet and funny. And watching how gentle mine was with my nephew while growing up is why I would recommend them and just know that they're so loyal and smart!. They look intimidating sure but my experience with them are that they are mostly goofballs and very kind. I had many in my lifetime and I wouldn't change it for all the money in the world. I just hope that more people will experience that kind of love and bond with a German Shepherd if only once in their life!.

My very first memory was (is?) of my aunt's German Shepherd Liebschen. Beautiful, smart, strong, afeectionate, loyal dogs. Love `em.

When I was little I absolutely feared this dogs. I had only seen them in movies as guard dogs being aggressive and I know the police used them to catc criminals. So I always saw them as aggressive animals that would bite you for the slightest. Then I got my own and quickly realised how truly loving and caring they are to their loved ones. Never regretted getting one ever! :)

I love all dogs and all animals but with all honesty there is something really special and unique about a German Shepherd dog' The intelligence and the level of loyalty and the willingness and the desire to protect .. They will give their life to save their family and they will shower you with a love and loyalty beyond your expectations and they will do it without hesitation.. You have to treat them like to a human being from the time of them being puppies...You have to talk to them ..Treat them like a family member not a dog ..Shower them with love and affection ..Then You will see what I meant by what I wrote All dogs and all animals are precious and priceless to ME.. No matter what .. You will understand what I mean.. When it comes to a German Shepherd..If you already had one or have one or will have one .. That experience will never leave YOU.
