This is easily my favorite song this band has put out since the From These Wounds album. They sound so inspired here, and their new vocalist is phenomenal. I also love the addition of the violinist. I’m very eager to hear the rest of the new album.

Thank you KZread recommendations! This is the first time I've heard this band. Admittedly, the vocals aren't really my cup of tea. However, the music is so damn intoxicating that by mid-song I found myself beginning to appreciate/enjoy the vocals. I imagine I'll grow to like the more as I continue to replay this song. Here's to broadened horizons 🤘

Ух ты, их новая песня и клип. Великолепно. Тяжело, торжественно, атмосферно и по думовски мрачно. Каждый новый альбом этой банды звучит по своему, при этом являясь эталоном стиля. Жаль что они не особо популярны. Но, группа стоит внимания. Однозначно, эта их новая тема мне зашла. И с каждым новым прослушиванием, цепляет по новому.

i am not sure how i feel about the new 'operatic style' voice, (i kinda got used to the type of Borknagar vocs from the last album) the music is pretty good though... and with crystal clear powerful production!

I like the vocals a lot, it's how I sing too (though not nearly as good as this guy), and I always wanted to mix doom metal with operatic bass vocals.

Understanding opinion, and each singer brings their own interpretation of the album they sing in. And a new singer has to embface all history, while also doing his own voice. In the end it be beautiful and sad, and we shall mourn together.

From these wounds" was the beginning of Funeral for me. I will always love this album, but as far as Frode is concerned, I have to say that I never found access to "As the light does the shadow". I like Oratorium and Praesentialis with Sindre much better. It's a shame that Sindre is no longer there, but Eirik also sounds pretty good in the video. I'm very curious...

@@Engwahilion The atmosphere is great. But the vocals cancel out everything that is there. For some reason, people buy early vinyls more. But the later ones are not so good. This says something!!!! I won’t buy the new album. I don’t like this whining.
