Fundamentals of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and High Throughput Kinetic Analysis

Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) helps you discover therapeutic antibodies FAST.
The use of HT-SPR is critical to innovating new antibodies quickly in discovery and development of therapies and vaccines. This webinar covers:
- Physical properties that underpin SPR technology
- Generation of high-quality kinetic data with SPR technology
- High throughput (HT-SPR) technology advances with the Carterra LSA
Presented by Dan Bedigner, PhD, expert in SPR/HT-SPR and modern-day antibody discovery workflows. Dan brings a wealth of knowledge after being at biotech companies such as Xoma, Abgenix, and diaDexus and now leads Carterra’s Applications Science Team.

thank you so much for this nice presentation. could you just tell me what the Rmax is? i mean if the Req is the max value then what is Rmax ?

Rmax refers to the maximum observed RU binding value (extrapolated or measured) when all surface ligand binding sites are occupied during the association phase. Req refers to the RU response observed during the association phase once equilibrium is achieved between the ligand and the analyte that is being cycled over the surface. Req would be analyte concentration dependent. The concentration of the Ligand, Analyte and their inherent affinity (KD) define the occupancy % at equilibrium.
