Fundamental Rowing Drills - Reverse Pick Drill
Спорт
Ready to power up your rowing stroke? That comes from the legs! We're bringing you the reverse pick drill in this Back to Basics rowing machine technique drill series video.
The reverse pick drill helps groove the habit of pushing before you pull. It's also a great rowing drill for people who lead with their back and shoulders, instead of their legs. Get ready to get more meters on every stroke!

What should the force curve look like when you're doing this drill?

On the legs-only part it will look like a narrow mountain with a strong peak towards the left side that drops off quickly on the right, then as you add in the rest of the stroke it will even out until it becomes the regular balanced "hill" or "haystack" at the end.

@@UCanRow2 Thanks - I like to use the force curve as a check on my rowing strokes.

Same! I use it with my classes too, it helps them see if they're being effective.
You are making a small error on pull away. Your legs are not fully done and you have already too soon pulling back with upper body and begun arms too early as a result
