Most trainers on these workout videos don't understand the emotional aspect of being overweight or needing a rehab type low impact approach to working out. Your self esteem is not where it used to be when you were fit. So doing this video and hearing his non- pushy, u can do it positivity really makes me do his workout everyday! Thank u so much u make my fitness goals attainable!🌟💯👍

He is fantastic. I felt like his encouragement was so thoughtful as he is thinking of the viewer. Especially someone who is unfit or has not exercised in a long time. Other trainers who do exercises are for "beginners" are to fast, they plaster on the fake smile and the over the top cheery tones as they were out faster expecting the unfit viewer to keep up or do the moves just as easily as the trainers. Plus it is awesome to see his companions heavy set people. It is inspirational.

I’m a 17 year old girl from Japan who has severe depression and anxiety. At 12 I’ve attempted suicide from the amount of bullying I went through from my classmates and teachers just because I could speak English and because I didn’t think like them (cause I was raised in another country I guess?) I stopped going to school and now I’m slowly healing. Today I started my fitness journey here and completed everything with small breaks in between. I have felt proud of myself for the first time in a long time. I still have a long way to go but I will try my best to take care of myself more from now on. His motivational words almost made me cry during the workout too. Thank you so much❤️

Update: After a year and an injury and some PT, I got back to this and today I made it through the whole thing without breaks (but with water!). It feels amazing. I'll still be back! Let's see if I can do it again! Update: This is now a regular workout!

I stumbled upon this video just before Christmas of 2021 and absolutely loved it. Then at Christmas I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I continued on with this work out all through my chemo treatments. Sometimes I could only get through the first 15min and other times I was able to complete the whole workout. Radiation is next for me and this will still be my go to workout. I love the energy and personality of the trainer and I love the presence of both Lisa and Natasha. Thank you all for inspiring me. "Progress not perfection" Whenever I hear him saying this, it brings tears in my eyes. As far as I remember, I hated my body, never liked the way I look and always wanted to be skinny like many girls around my age. Since social media brought face-tuned perfect bodies, my body images issue got worse, I tried extreme diets and starved myself for the sake of having a skinny body. Even thought I lost lots of pounds, I never found my body looking better and then went back to emotional eating and gaining all the pounds I lost back. Now working on my body-image, trying to be kind to myself and overall accepting what I have, how I look and overall who I am as person. It is really freaking hard. But trying as he says it is progress and not perfection. I'll never be perfect but will be better than a day ago. Each time I exercise with you, I cry at the end, telling myself that I am proud of myself which is really hard for people like me struggling with self-love/confidence/respect. Thank you so much Daniel not only for showing these great moves but also touching the deepest parts of our hearts with your motivational words. You're the best.

59 years old; overweight; havent excercised properly in 10 years; thought I was too old! Managed the WHOLE session (albeit with some crap coordination at times!) and feel SO proud & pumped. Heart rate through the roof but recovery time was amazingly fast. Can't believe it. Such great, encouraging tuition which didn't once make me feel inferior or pushed. Will do a week then, if I'm still in one piece (!) I will definitely subscribe. Without doubt THE BEST beginner's work out video around. Thank you guys! Warmest regards, Steve

I'm not over weight just out of shape and a huge taste for sweets then I found this beginners video that was just right for me. I joined a gym after the doctor told me about exercise but, I have not went so far due to hardly any motivation to go, thoughts of looking stupid in there and thinking about Covid-19. This video motivated me because, it was good for beginners and I was home and didn't have to worry about looking stupid or worry about coronavirus from being around others. I recommend this video to any beginners, it's great! :)

I'm 93 kgs at 23 years old. I have polycystic ovary syndrome and had the biggest scare of my life from a PCOS fb group, from someone who didn't take action at a much earlier stage. I hope it's not too late for me. Today is my second day of trying to lose weight. I am currently on a cool down when I stumbled upon Body Project's videos and reading the comments here is very encouraging and moving to me... I will give this workout a try. Day 1 of this workout (11/7, 11:11am) I wasn't able to finish it. I stopped at mark 20:52. There will come a time that I will be able to finish the whole workout and more. I am not giving up. Today, I started. Nowhere else to go but forward. (11/9) I missed yesterday's workout, but I did 30 minutes on the bike. Today I finished the workout at 8:35am. Paused twice, maybe five times to catch my breath. My mother walked in on me while doing the workout, stopping me, and I guess you can imagine whose face is in my head when I was doing the punches. I'm so sick and tired of being told that I'm not good enough, that I can't, basically saying that I'm not capable of change. GUESS WHAT, MOTHER. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 5 DAYS NOW AND I'M DOING THIS FOR ME. AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME. I was in tears while doing the workout (even now that I'm typing this) and didn't feel tired until the 20 minute mark. I'll remember today, and all the times I've been rejected and said no to. I'll use it as fuel to propel me forward. I love myself enough to not listen to all the negative things you throw at me. I am making progress, and I AM ENOUGH.

Before I tried this workout today, I'd tried to do another exercise routine that was far too advanced and I felt like I total failure cos I couldn't even get the form right. I came here and hearing "you just have to be better than yesterday" really pushed me to finish the routine, even though I didn't do a good job here either I finished.

I work with adults with developmental disabilities and we are loving this video! We love that there is no getting up and down from the ground and that the movements are really easy and fun to follow. It's amazing how hard it is to find videos that my clients can do. We are working remotely right now so online workouts are essential to helping our clients stay active. That you so much! I have subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to checking out the other videos.

I found this after my PT ordered me to do at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise every day. I'm young, but I am seriously overweight- and this... this video is absolutely amazing. I have yet to make it through the entire video- but it feels very doable with this. I'm very self-conscious about my body and how it moves, and even though I do this by myself, I feel just a little less dumb about how I move with this routine. Trainer is amazing- and I can't wait until I'm fit enough to try all of his other videos.

WOW!! How have I not come across this before?!?! I am so unfit and have become overweight since having a mental health breakdown. But, that was in 2014 😳 I’ve been too embarrassed and self conscious to workout in an environment where others can judge me. This video was just the kickstart I needed! I somehow managed to get through the first time, but did resort to the lower impact options to continue. This was a huge achievement for me, and I now have the confidence and belief in myself that I can continue to workout in the comfort of my own home and finally start getting healthy again - physically AND mentally

I almost cried when I finished the workout. Because of depression and anxiety, I quit my job, took a break from school, and have just been unable to do anything. It's so hard seeing yourself slowly gaining weight and having your life pass you by. I've been trying to find workout videos that are positive and really for beginners. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this one.

OMG, I tried this today. It was a killer but in a great way. Btw, I started these workouts with a different workout on this channel a few weeks ago. I can't remember the date but it wasn't that long ago (a couple of weeks) I started at 174. At that time I was upset because no matter how I sticked to my meal plan I was stuck at 174 pounds for months. I did some research and it indicated that I needed to exercise more so I started the workouts on this channel. As of today I am at 167 pounds! That's 7 pounds! I'm so happy that I am moving towards my goal. If you are reading this you must believe that you can do this, even a tiny grain of belief will help you because you can do this. Just do a little at a time. Concentrate on losing one pound at a time. That was part of the mind set that worked for m. Good Luck! Oh and thank you so much Body Project for this wonderful program to help people all over the world. XOXO

I must start out by saying THANK YOU!!! A little over a year ago I tried a supplement/shake deal. I hardly ate and hit the treadmill almost daily. In 6 months I had lost 50 pounds. HOWEVER, being a single mom I could not afford to keep paying for that and the weight came back. No workout video that I have found on the web is as INSPIRING as yours. I love that not everyone in the videos are already super in shape. Up til my early 20s I was 115 lbs. Now I am 310lbs. This is my new addiction, I love this video and one other I have saved from you. I sweat more after these videos than I do walking on the treadmill for an hour (which I hate). I have not finished a video yet but I push to last longer every day. THANK YOU for helping me have hope (and making the videos free).
