No fun, sitting in the boomer seat in the kc-135 is priceless. You can fly the plane with the boom and you can watch the c130 pilot facial expressions as he tries to get it pitching and close. All while doing figure 8 (remain on station)

The KC-10 and KC-135 are still around in 2023! It will take MANY years for the KC-46 to eventually replace them all.

The kc10 is being retired. By this time next year there will not be anymore in the fleet. Source: my boom operator best friend.
