    Get yourself a Lidar type altimeter. Start flaring at 100' and pull power to idle. Every time you feel the mains settle down a little, pull back on the stick/yoke until the mains touch. Then wait patiently for the nosewheel to touch down. Works for me in a C152.

    What a treat! I’ve never seen a video of a B29 flight engineer at work. And starting up that huge engine too…even if it didn’t really want to. Look at the sheer quality of that installation. No expense spared and that went through the whole aircraft. An amazing piece of engineering prowess and a spotlight on what Roosevelt called “The Arsenal of Democracy” could produce in the thousands.

    I believe the 4 levers on the right are the throttle control for the 4 engines. Must be a co-pilot doing engines/flaps A guess from a non pilot

    @@thecanadianavee8r660 The controls are not sloppy. In the 29 and 27 that's how they work. The yoke system is geared.

    At landing speeds, less air flows over wings/ailerons so more control input is required

    @@napalmprice9170 It's not play. That much play would render the aircraft non-airworthy. The pressures are high and the yoke system is geared. The B-17 has the same sustem.

    I thought that was a great landing, agreed you should come down on your main gear first, but I saw very little nose wheel pressure and the main gear did take the brunt of the landing. Seemed very smooth and controlled. Great landing. Butter.

    It just seems like you have to be super smooth with the landing on grass. Beautiful landing indeed.:)
