Hi Mira! I’m 13 years old, I just finished my first quilt, I’ve been sewing since I was 7 or 8 and I decided I wanted to make a quilt! I’m very crafty I knit, crochet paint draw and lots of other crafts, currently I’m working on a king size granny square crochet blanket for my dad for Father’s Day and I’m loving the process. You are such a inspiration to me, you radiate positivity, I love this channel ❤

I hope he loves it! I once made my brother a throw blanked from granny squares. The funny thing was, I only used three very very large squares haha. He's over 6 feet

I need that!

One of the best things about a sketchbook is doing things on your own terms. Sometimes, it's nice to just have a simple design to give you an excuse to start a drawing or painting! Thanks, Mira, for teaching artists to get past hesitation and fear so they can really enjoy the process!

I'm a massive knitter. I go through phases and haven't been knitting much lately but my stepmom had once coined me as the rainman of knitting lol.

The emotions chapter in this video really resonated with me. I'm going through a particularly difficult time in life, health wise and feeling validated for not always feeling my best and not being happy really hit home. I think I'm going to pick up my sketchbook, dust it off, and when I have the bandwidth make a happy page for future me. Thank you, Mira, you're a bright light in the KZread world! Also, editing to say I paused the video at a place where you were smiling really big and it made me smile too. Thank you.

Sometimes, the "little things/moments" are the "Big deal" ones. 😊 I recently did a page in my art journal, from the memory of some adorable Canada geese walking on the sidewalk. (because when I originally saw them, I didn't have a camera with me). Love all the ideas and art you shared in this video. 😊👍

Mira, I know you probably won't see this...but i wanted to let you know that this video helped to soothe my aching heart ❤️ a little today... Yesterday morning i had to have my youngest kitty put to sleep (he was not quite 2 years old and still the size if a 6 month old kitten). He was so VERY sick and there was nothing more that they could do for him. My heart is shattered 💔. Your soft, soothing voice and kind words were JUST what i needed today. Thank you for being YOU!!! This is so fun!!! I’m a knitter, and have dabbled in sewing and quilting with… mixed results (translation: the quilt was a disaster and inserting a zipper made me want to buy stock in Velcro).

I love Sketchbook art idea videos. They are my favorites. And I love all of the positivity and encouragement you sprinkled throughout! Also, to answer your question, I crochet. My current project is a throw blanket.

I was 5 yrs old when I learned to embroider - and it was magic! I don't draw well, so using an embroidery iron on pattern was so freeing! I loved that I could use any colors I wanted to embroider the baby elephants in my first project, and I chose purple! 🤣

“Let’s take it up a Notch!” Theme of the day. Some great ideas. Love to watch these fill your sketchbook videos.

My hubby is playing a farming game and they like to mess with the names of things. For example instead of carrots, they're called carrops. Anyway, when you mentioned painting strawberries, my hubby started talking about strawbuddies. I thought you'd LOVE what the game decided to call them.

I've started aiming for photo realism with graphite wich can get quite intense... your videos are a very welcomed break to bring colour back into my little art world... also my non verbal autistic 4year old absolutely loves this style we sit and watch them together practising saying what you paint like "flower!" "Strawberry" so on... she loves your channel more than I do 😅 ❤

Have you tried tatting? Yeah, I'm from the needlecraft generation. Tatting uses very fine thread on a shuttle to produce things like edgings. It's adorable on baby clothes and such.

I was out with my sister Monday, she had a blue velvet scrunchie on, I had a purple velvet one, now I’m seeing you with a green one, lol, the velvet is everywhere!

I’ve never really used a sketchbook in this way and I think I need to. Get back to play and exploring without expectation, just joy!

I love the scribble bear page - reminds me a lot of Paul klees taking your pen for walk method. I am the Art Lead at the school I work at and its crazy to see how much the kids worried about making a mess.... I always remind them that everyone is an artist doesn't matter if your work is perfect or not.
