When I was a kid my dad used to *carefully* cut open empty cans of paint to get the mixer out. The thing you hear rattling around inside is just a glass marble. He had a whole collection, and as a kid I thought it was pretty cool.

@@Kafj302 It’s pretty anticlimactic. My dad would just wrap the can in an old shop rag and pierce it to let the remaining pressure out. Then he just used a pair of tin snips to cut it open. Still, the marbles were Shiny.

Metallic paint is sometimes clear or light pigment with tiny flakes of the metallic pigment. I think that’s why you just see the pigment rise to the top. If you used a rustoleum special effects can that has specks in it you’d probably have the same result.

Not even joking.. My friend tried to heat up a can of spray paint the other day but holding it in front of a kerosene torpedo heater.. and you guessed it, the can exploded. The bottom blew out, lit himself on fire, lit his brother on fire trying to put him out. Now he is recovering from the burns. Luckily he was wearing fire retardant clothing from his days in the oil fields so the damage was mostly to his hands. Messing around with warning labels is best done to those on the internet for our amusement.

I recommend breaking more warnings and using some acetone In a ventilated area to wipe down your skin. It'll remove the spray paint.....and a layer of skin...but more importantly the spray paint 😅.
